11 Even a child makes himself known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.
1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel,
2 to know wisdom and instruction, to discern the words of understanding,
3 to receive instruction in wise dealing, in righteousness and justice and equity,
4 to give prudence to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion,
6 Likewise exhort the younger men to be sober-minded.
7 Only be strong and very courageous to observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou may have good success wherever thou go.
8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shall meditate on it day and night, that thou may observe to do according to all that is written in it, for then thou shall make thy way prosperous, and then thou sha
9 Have I not commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage. Be not frightened, neither be thou dismayed, for LORD thy God is with thee wherever thou go.
10 Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh, for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.
5 For thou are my hope, O lord LORD, my trust from my youth.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall.
31 But those who wait for LORD shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run, and not be weary. They shall walk, and not faint.
13 Let us walk decently as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in beddings and wantonness, not in strife and envy.
12 both young men and virgins, old men and sons.
13 Let them praise the name of LORD, for his name alone is exalted. His glory is above the earth and the heavens.
11 I have laid thy word up in my heart that I might not sin against thee.
9 With what shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to thy word.
17 Now as for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom. And Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
18 And at the end of the days which the king had appointed for bringing them in, the ruler of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.
19 And the king conversed with them. And among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Therefore they stood before the king.
1 Remember also thy Creator in the days of thy youth, before the evil days come, and the years draw nigh, when thou shall say, I have no pleasure in them,
2 before the sun, and the light, and the moon, and the stars, are darkened, and the clouds return after the rain,
3 in the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those who look out of the windows shall be darkened,
12 Let no man disparage thy youth, but become an example of the faithful, in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
1 Remember also thy Creator in the days of thy youth, before the evil days come, and the years draw nigh, when thou shall say, I have no pleasure in them,
19 Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and guide thy heart in the way.
20 Be not among winebibbers, among gluttonous eaters of flesh.
21 For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty, and drowsiness will clothe [a man] with rags.
22 Hearken to thy father who begot thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.
1 Children, obey your parents in Lord, for this is right.
2 Honor thy father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise,
3 so that it may become well with thee, and thou will be long lasting on the earth.
9 Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth, and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thy heart, and in the sight of thine eyes. But know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgmen
29 The glory of young men is their strength, and the beauty of old men is the hoary head.
14 I wrote to you, fathers, because ye have know him from the beginning. I wrote to you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and ye have overcome evil.
13 Better is a poor and wise youth than an old and foolish king who does not know how to receive admonition any more.
5 Likewise younger men should be subordinate to the elder men. And all being subordinate to each other, clothe yourselves with humility, because God sets himself against the haughty, but gives grace to the lowly.
6 Therefore be lowered under the mighty hand of God, so that he may lift you up in time,
28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. Your old men shall dream dreams. Your young men shall see visions.
29 And also I will pour out my Spirit upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days.
6 Then I said, Ah, lord LORD! Behold, I know not how to speak, for I am a child.
7 But LORD said to me, Say not, I am a child. For to whomever I shall send thee thou shall go, and whatever I shall command thee thou shall speak.
8 Be not afraid because of them, for I am with thee to deliver thee, says LORD.
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end.
12 And ye shall call upon me, and ye shall go and pray to me, and I will hearken to you.
13 And ye shall seek me, and find me when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
14 And I will be found by you, says LORD, and I will turn again your captivity. And I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have driven you, says LORD, and I will bring you again to the place from where
1 Children, obey your parents in Lord, for this is right.
2 Honor thy father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise,
27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.
