13 The foods are for the belly and the belly for foods, but God will abolish both this and these things. But the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
3 And every man who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as that man is pure.
7 Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean. Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me to hear joy and gladness, that the bones which thou have broken may rejoice.
9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not thy holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.
3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification, for you to abstain from fornication,
4 for each of you to know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and reverence,
5 not in passion of lust, as also the Gentiles who have not known God,
1 Blessed are those (LXX/NT) whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2 Blessed is the man to whom LORD does not impute sin, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
3 When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all the day long.
4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me. My moisture was changed [as] with the drought of summer. Selah.
5 I acknowledged my sin to thee, and I did not hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to LORD, and thou forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
6 For this let everyone who is devout pray to thee in a time when thou may be found. Surely when the great waters overflow they shall not reach to him.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me.
4 Against thee, thee only, I have sinned, and done that which is evil in thy sight, that thou may be justified when thou speak, and may prevail (LXX/NT) when thou are criticized (LXX/NT).
