3 Talk no more so very proudly. Let not arrogancy come out of your mouth, for LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.
16 thinking the same way toward each other, not thinking on lofty things, but accommodating to the lowly. Become not wise according to yourselves,
3 in nothing according to selfish ambition or empty conceit, but in humility considering each other surpassing yourselves.
4 Look ye out (each man) not to things of yourselves, but each man also to the things of others.
5 Indeed have this way to think in you, that also was in Christ Jesus,
12 Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honor [is] humility.
12 Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honor [is] humility.
7 But LORD said to Samuel, Do not look on his countenance, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For [LORD sees] not as man sees, for man looks on the outward appearance, but LORD looks on the heart.
2 When pride comes, then comes shame, but with the lowly is wisdom.
2 When pride comes, then comes shame, but with the lowly is wisdom.
25 LORD will root up the house of the proud, but he will establish the border of the widow.
16 Because everything in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the arrogance of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
37 Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are truth, and his ways justice. And he is able to abase those who walk in pride.
12 Therefore let him who seems to stand take heed lest he fall.
25 There is a way which seems right to a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
10 Be ye made lower in the sight of the Lord, and he will lift you up.
20 And he said, That which comes out of the man, that defiles the man.
21 For from inside the heart of men proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts,
22 covetings, wickednesses, deceit, licentiousness, an evil eye, reviling, pride, foolishness.
23 All these evil things come from inside, and defile the man.
9 Now let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation,
10 but the rich in his lowliness, because as a flower of grass he will pass away.
23 A man's pride shall bring him low, but he who is of a lowly spirit shall obtain honor.
23 A man's pride shall bring him low, but he who is of a lowly spirit shall obtain honor.
28 And God chose the common things of the world, and the disdained things, and the things that are not, so that he might make useless the things that are,
29 so that no flesh may boast before God.
17 But he who boasts should boast in Lord.
18 For he who commends himself, that man is not approved, but whom the Lord commends.
11 And the king of Israel answered and said, Tell him, Let not him who girds on [his armor] boast himself as he who puts it off.
6 But he gives greater grace. Therefore it says, God is opposed to the arrogant, but gives grace to the lowly.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.
13 The fear of LORD is to hate evil. Pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the perverse mouth, do I hate.
5 Likewise younger men should be subordinate to the elder men. And all being subordinate to each other, clothe yourselves with humility, because God sets himself against the haughty, but gives grace to the lowly.
6 Therefore be lowered under the mighty hand of God, so that he may lift you up in time,
7 having cast all your concern upon him, because he cares for you.
18 Pride [is] before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
4 The reward of humility [and] the fear of LORD [is] riches and honor and life.
2 For all these things my hand has made, and all these things came to be, says LORD. But to this man I will look, even to him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at my word.
3 And if I dole out all things possessed by me, and if I deliver my body so that I may be burned, and have not love, I benefit nothing.
5 Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to LORD. Hand in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
10 Through pride a vain man causes contention, but wisdom is with the well-advised.
11 Because every man who lifts himself up will be made lower, and he who makes himself lower will be lifted up.
17 Command the rich in the present age not to be arrogant, nor hope in the uncertainty of wealth, but in the living God, who supplies us all things abundantly for enjoyment,
