8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shall go. I will counsel thee with my eye upon thee.
8 Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of my enemies. Make thy way straight before my face.
11 Thou made known to (LXX/NT) me the path of life. Thou will fill me of joy with thy countenance (LXX/NT).
28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, who are the called according to purpose.
13 Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gets understanding.
11 And LORD will guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in dry places, and make strong thy bones. And thou shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters fail not.
10 Say thou not, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? For thou do not inquire wisely concerning this.
28 Have thou not known? Have thou not heard? The everlasting God, LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, nor is weary. There is no searching of his understanding.
1 Boast not thyself of tomorrow, for thou know not what a day may bring forth.
18 Open thou my eyes that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou may be wise in thy latter end.
15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom that all those who oppose you will not be able to contradict or to resist.
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom.
9 They shall come with weeping. And I will lead them with supplications. I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way in which they shall not stumble. For I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.
3 yea, if thou cry after discernment, and lift up thy voice for understanding,
5 then thou shall understand the fear of LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
5 Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek LORD understand all things.
35 For he who finds me finds life, and shall obtain favor of LORD.
18 Let not one man deceive himself. If any man among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become foolish so that he may become wise.
5 And if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God who gives to all generously and not reproaching, and it will be given to him.
17 But the wisdom from above is indeed first pure, then peaceful, meek, easily entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and non-hypocritical.
17 Now as for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom. And Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, and trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, but they look not to the Holy One of Israel, nor seek LORD!
2 Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words, but will arise against the house of the evil-doers, and against the help of those who work iniquity.
8 He who gets wisdom loves his own soul. He who keeps understanding shall find good.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
2 And the Spirit of LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of LORD.
3 And his delight shall be in the fear of LORD. And he shall not judge according to the sight of his eyes, nor decide according to the hearing of his ears,
27 to the only wise God through Jesus Christ, to whom is the glory into the ages. Truly.
29 This also comes forth from LORD of hosts, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom.
8 The wise in heart will receive commandments, but a prating fool shall fall.
8 Cause me to hear thy loving kindness in the morning, for in thee do I trust. Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to thee.
4 Show me thy ways, O LORD. Teach me thy paths.
5 Guide me in thy truth, and teach me. For thou are the God of my salvation. For thee do I wait all the day.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes. Fear LORD, and depart from evil.
33 O the depth of wealth, both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways beyond finding out!
18 Let not one man deceive himself. If any man among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become foolish so that he may become wise.
12 With aged men is wisdom, and in length of days understanding.
13 With [God] is wisdom and might. He has counsel and understanding.
1 Then Job answered and said,
2 Of a truth I know that it is so. But how can man be just with God?
3 If he is pleased to contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.
4 [He is] wise in heart, and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against him, and prospered?
2 When pride comes, then comes shame, but with the lowly is wisdom.
12 But where shall wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding?
13 Man does not know the price of it, nor is it found in the land of the living.
14 The deep says, It is not in me. And the sea says, It is not with me.
15 It cannot be gotten for gold, nor shall silver be weighed for the price of it.
16 It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.
17 Gold and glass cannot equal it, nor shall it be exchanged for jewels of fine gold.
18 No mention shall be made of coral or of crystal. Yea, the price of wisdom is above rubies.
19 The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, nor shall it be valued with pure gold.
20 Where then does wisdom come from? And where is the place of understanding?
21 Since it is hid from the eyes of all living, and kept closed from the birds of the heavens.
22 Destruction and Death say, We have heard a rumor of it with our ears.
34 Be not therefore anxious for the morrow, for the morrow will be anxious about things of itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil of it.
4 Lord LORD has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words him who is weary. He awakens morning by morning. He awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.
5 And have ye forgotten the exhortation that reasons with you as with sons, My son, do not disparage the chastening of Lord, nor become disheartened when punished by him?
6 For whom Lord loves he chastens. And he whips every son whom he receives.
15 Therefore watch carefully how ye walk, not as unwise but as wise,
16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
33 The fear of LORD is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor [is] humility.
5 that the wise man may hear, and increase in learning, and that the man of understanding may attain to sound counsels,
15 Therefore watch carefully how ye walk, not as unwise but as wise,
16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
10 Through pride a vain man causes contention, but wisdom is with the well-advised.
23 And all things, anything whatever ye may do, work from soul as to the Lord and not to men,
24 knowing that from Lord ye will receive the reward of the inheritance, for ye serve the Lord Christ.
19 LORD by wisdom founded the earth. By understanding he established the heavens.
12 For wisdom is a defense, even as money is a defense. But the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom preserves the life of him who has it.
42 The queen of the south will rise up in the judgment with this generation, and will condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
8 He has shown thee, O man, what is good. And what does LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with thy God?
6 For LORD gives wisdom. Out of his mouth [is] knowledge and understanding.
9 The meek he will guide in justice, and the meek he will teach his way.
28 Even a fool, when he holds his peace, is considered wise. When he shuts his lips, he is prudent.
18 Every purpose is established by counsel, and by wise guidance make thou war.
15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who is wise hearkens to counsel.
8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways, says LORD.
30 The mouth of a righteous man talks of wisdom, and his tongue speaks justice.
23 A man's goings are established by LORD, and he delights in his way.
24 O LORD, how manifold are thy works! In wisdom have thou made them all. The earth is full of thy riches.
2 A fool has no delight in understanding, but only that his heart may reveal itself.
20 Now to him who is able to do above extraordinary--above all things that we ask or think--according to the power that works in us,
21 to him is the glory in the church in Christ Jesus for all generations of the age of the ages. Truly.
29 He who is slow to anger is of great understanding, but he who is hasty of spirit exalts folly.
23 but we proclaim Christ crucified, truly to Jews a stumbling-block and to Gentiles foolishness.
24 But to them, to the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weak thing of God is stronger than men.
17 But the wisdom from above is indeed first pure, then peaceful, meek, easily entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and non-hypocritical.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you abundantly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing by grace in your hearts to God.
1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers,
2 but his delight is in the law of LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.
9 A man's heart devises his way, but LORD directs his steps.
5 Great is our LORD, and mighty in power. His understanding is infinite.
6 For by wise guidance thou shall make thy war, and in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
7 The fear of LORD is the beginning of knowledge. The foolish despise wisdom and instruction.
20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are his.
22 When thou walk, it shall lead thee. When thou sleep, it shall watch over thee. And when thou awake, it shall talk with thee.
13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show from his good behavior his works in mildness of wisdom.
16 And I will bring the blind by a way that they know not. I will lead them in paths that they know not. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. These things I will do, and I will not forsake them.
12 He has made the earth by his power. He has established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding he has stretched out the heavens.
6 and said to the judges, Consider what ye do. For ye judge not for man, but for LORD, and [he is] with you in the judgment.
23 I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who has given me wisdom and might, and has now made known to me what we desired of thee, for thou have made known to us the king's matter.
20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou may be wise in thy latter end.
24 Thou will guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
28 Have thou not known? Have thou not heard? The everlasting God, LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, nor is weary. There is no searching of his understanding.
5 Walk in wisdom toward those outside, redeeming the time,
6 your speech always with grace seasoned with salt, to know how it is fitting for you to answer each one.
5 Trust in LORD with all thy heart, and lean not upon thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct thy paths.
26 For to the man who pleases him [God] gives wisdom and knowledge and joy, but to the sinner he gives travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him who pleases God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.
3 He who guards his mouth keeps his life. He who opens wide his lips shall have destruction.
105 Thy word is a lamp to my feet, and light to my path.
2 So that their hearts may be encouraged, having been united together in love, and for all wealth of the full assurance of understanding, to knowledge of the mystery of the God and Father of the Christ.
3 In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself. It is not in man who walks to direct his steps.
15 The heart of a prudent man gets knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
6 But we speak wisdom among the fully developed, but not a wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age who come to nothing.
7 But we speak a wisdom of God in a hidden mystery, which God predestined before the ages for our glory,
6 For LORD gives wisdom. Out of his mouth [is] knowledge and understanding.
4 Delight thyself also in LORD, and he will give thee the desires of thy heart.
10 Teach me to do thy will, for thou are my God. Thy Spirit is good, lead me in the land of uprightness.
11 Revive me, O LORD, for thy name's sake. In thy righteousness bring my soul out of trouble.
14 men who know not of the morrow. For what is your life? For it will be a vapor that appears for a little while, and then also vanishes away--
5 And if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God who gives to all generously and not reproaching, and it will be given to him.
1 The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from LORD.
1 This third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two witnesses or three every saying will be confirmed.
24 Therefore every man, whoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will compare him to a wise man who built his house upon the rock.
16 How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! Yea, to get understanding is rather to be chosen than silver.
105 Thy word is a lamp to my feet, and light to my path.
5 Walk in wisdom toward those outside, redeeming the time,
6 your speech always with grace seasoned with salt, to know how it is fitting for you to answer each one.
10 Whatever thy hand finds to do, do with thy might, for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where thou go.
24 Judge not according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
130 The opening of thy words gives light. It gives understanding to the simple.
17 But the wisdom from above is indeed first pure, then peaceful, meek, easily entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and non-hypocritical.
11 Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of my enemies.
5 And if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God who gives to all generously and not reproaching, and it will be given to him.
