Jesus went to the mount of Olives. 
And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came to him; and he sat down, and taught them. 
And the scribes and Pharisees brought to him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the middle, 
They say to him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 
Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what say you? 
This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. 
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said to them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. 
And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. 
And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the oldest, even to the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the middle. 
When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said to her, Woman, where are those your accusers? has no man condemned you? 
She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said to her, Neither do I condemn you: go, and sin no more. 
Then spoke Jesus again to them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. 
The Pharisees therefore said to him, You bore record of yourself; your record is not true. 
Jesus answered and said to them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know from where I came, and where I go; but you cannot tell from where I come, and where I go. 
You judge after the flesh; I judge no man. 
And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. 
It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. 
I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me bears witness of me. 
Then said they to him, Where is your Father? Jesus answered, You neither know me, nor my Father: if you had known me, you should have known my Father also. 
These words spoke Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come. 
Then said Jesus again to them, I go my way, and you shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: where I go, you cannot come. 
Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he said, Where I go, you cannot come. 
And he said to them, You are from beneath; I am from above: you are of this world; I am not of this world. 
I said therefore to you, that you shall die in your sins: for if you believe not that I am he, you shall die in your sins. 
Then said they to him, Who are you? And Jesus said to them, Even the same that I said to you from the beginning. 
I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him. 
They understood not that he spoke to them of the Father. 
Then said Jesus to them, When you have lifted up the Son of man, then shall you know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father has taught me, I speak these things. 
And he that sent me is with me: the Father has not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. 
As he spoke these words, many believed on him. 
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed; 
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 
They answered him, We be Abraham' seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how say you, You shall be made free? 
Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever commits sin is the servant of sin. 
And the servant stays not in the house for ever: but the Son stays ever. 
If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed. 
I know that you are Abraham' seed; but you seek to kill me, because my word has no place in you. 
I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and you do that which you have seen with your father. 
They answered and said to him, Abraham is our father. Jesus said to them, If you were Abraham' children, you would do the works of Abraham. 
But now you seek to kill me, a man that has told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. 
You do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. 
Jesus said to them, If God were your Father, you would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 
Why do you not understand my speech? even because you cannot hear my word. 
You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and stayed not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 
And because I tell you the truth, you believe me not. 
Which of you convinces me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do you not believe me? 
He that is of God hears God' words: you therefore hear them not, because you are not of God. 
Then answered the Jews, and said to him, Say we not well that you are a Samaritan, and have a devil? 
Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honor my Father, and you do dishonor me. 
And I seek not my own glory: there is one that seeks and judges. 
Truly, truly, I say to you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. 
Then said the Jews to him, Now we know that you have a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and you say, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death. 
Are you greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom make you yourself? 
Jesus answered, If I honor myself, my honor is nothing: it is my Father that honors me; of whom you say, that he is your God: 
Yet you have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like to you: but I know him, and keep his saying. 
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. 
Then said the Jews to him, You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham? 
Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Before Abraham was, I am. 
Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the middle of them, and so passed by.

Jesus said unto them, Even that which I have also spoken unto you from the beginning. 26 I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you: howbeit he that sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these speak I unto the world. 27 They perceived not that he spake to them of the Father. 28 Jesus therefore said, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself, but as the Father taught me, I speak these things. 29 And he that sent me is with me; he hath not left me alone; for I do always the things that are pleasing to him. 30 As he spake these things, many believed on him. 
Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed him, If ye abide in my word, then are ye truly my disciples; 32 and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 33 They answered unto him, We are Abraham’s seed, and have never yet been in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? 34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Every one that committeth sin is the bondservant of sin. 35 And the bondservant abideth not in the house for ever: the son abideth for ever. 36 If therefore the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. 37 I know that ye are Abraham’s seed, yet ye seek to kill me, because my word hath not free course in you. 38 I speak the things which I have seen with my Father: and ye also do the things which ye heard from your father. 39 They answered and said unto him, Our father is Abraham. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham. 40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I heard from God: this did not Abraham. 41 Ye do the works of your father. They said unto him, We were not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. 42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I came forth and am come from God; for neither have I come of myself, but he sent me. 43 Why do ye not understand my speech? Even because ye cannot hear my word. 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father it is your will to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and standeth not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof. 45 But because I say the truth, ye believe me not. 46 Which of you convicteth me of sin? If I say truth, why do ye not believe me? 47 He that is of God heareth the words of God: for this cause ye hear them not, because ye are not of God. 48 The Jews answered and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a demon? 49 Jesus answered, I have not a demon; but I honor my Father, and ye dishonor me. 50 But I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth. 51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my word, he shall never see death. 52 The Jews said unto him, Now we know that thou hast a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my word, he shall never taste of death. 53 Art thou greater than our father Abraham, who died? and the prophets died: whom makest thou thyself? 54 Jesus answered, If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing: it is my Father that glorifieth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God; 55 and ye have not known him: but I know him; and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be like unto you, a liar: but I know him, and keep his word. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day; and he saw it, and was glad. 57 The Jews therefore said unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? 58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was born, I am. 59 They took up stones therefore to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple.
