1 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
2 On the first day of the first month shall you set up the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.
3 And you shall put therein the ark of the testimony, and cover the ark with the veil.
4 And you shall bring in the table, and set in order the things that are to be set in order on it; and you shall bring in the candlestick, and light the lamps thereof.
5 And you shall set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the testimony, and put the hanging of the door to the tabernacle.
6 And you shall set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.
7 And you shall set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and shall put water therein.
8 And you shall set up the court round about, and hang up the hanging at the court gate.
9 And you shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is therein, and shall hallow it, and all the vessels thereof: and it shall be holy.
10 And you shall anoint the altar of the burnt offering, and all his vessels, and sanctify the altar: and it shall be an altar most holy.
11 And you shall anoint the laver and his foot, and sanctify it.
12 And you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water.
13 And you shall put on Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him; that he may minister to me in the priest' office.
14 And you shall bring his sons, and clothe them with coats:
15 And you shall anoint them, as you did anoint their father, that they may minister to me in the priest' office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.
16 Thus did Moses: according to all that the LORD commanded him, so did he.
17 And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was reared up.
18 And Moses reared up the tabernacle, and fastened his sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up his pillars.
19 And he spread abroad the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above on it; as the LORD commanded Moses.
20 And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above on the ark:
21 And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the covering, and covered the ark of the testimony; as the LORD commanded Moses.
22 And he put the table in the tent of the congregation, on the side of the tabernacle northward, without the veil.
23 And he set the bread in order on it before the LORD; as the LORD had commanded Moses.
24 And he put the candlestick in the tent of the congregation, over against the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.
25 And he lighted the lamps before the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.
26 And he put the golden altar in the tent of the congregation before the veil:
27 And he burnt sweet incense thereon; as the LORD commanded Moses.
28 And he set up the hanging at the door of the tabernacle.
29 And he put the altar of burnt offering by the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation, and offered on it the burnt offering and the meat offering; as the LORD commanded Moses.
30 And he set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and put water there, to wash with.
31 And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet thereat:
32 When they went into the tent of the congregation, and when they came near to the altar, they washed; as the LORD commanded Moses.
33 And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the hanging of the court gate. So Moses finished the work.
34 Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
35 And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud stayed thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
36 And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys:
37 But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up.
38 For the cloud of the LORD was on the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
1 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying:
2 On the first day of the first month you shall set up the tabernacle of the tent of meeting.
3 You shall put in it the ark of the Testimony, and screen the ark with the veil.
4 You shall bring in the table and arrange the things that are to be set in order upon it; and you shall bring in the lampstand and light its lamps.
5 You shall also set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the Testimony, and set up the screen for the door of the tabernacle.
6 And you shall set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting.
7 And you shall set the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it.
8 You shall set up the court all around, and put up the screen at the court gate.
9 And you shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it; and you shall consecrate it and all its utensils, and it shall be holy.
10 You shall anoint the altar of the burnt offering and all its utensils, and consecrate the altar. The altar shall be set apart, holy.
11 And you shall anoint the laver and its base, and consecrate it.
12 And you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the tent of meeting and wash them with water.
13 You shall put the holy garments on Aaron, and anoint him and consecrate him, that he may serve Me as priest.
14 And you shall bring his sons and clothe them with tunics.
15 You shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, and they shall serve Me as priests; for their anointing shall be a perpetual priesthood throughout their generations.
16 Thus Moses did; according to all that Jehovah had commanded him, so he did.
17 And it came to pass in the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was raised up.
18 And Moses raised up the tabernacle, set its sockets, set up its boards, put in its bars, and raised up its pillars.
19 And he spread out the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering of the tent on top of it, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
20 And he took the Testimony and put it into the ark, inserted the poles through the rings of the ark, and put the mercy seat on the ark from above.
21 And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, put up the veil of the covering, and screened the ark of the Testimony, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
22 He put the table in the tent of meeting, on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the veil;
23 and he set the bread in order upon it before Jehovah, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
24 He put the lampstand in the tent of meeting, across from the table, on the south side of the tabernacle;
25 and he lit the lamps before Jehovah, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
26 He put the gold altar in the tent of meeting in front of the veil;
27 and he burned spiced incense on it, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
28 He set up the screen at the door of the tabernacle.
29 And he put the altar of burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered upon it the burnt offering and the grain offering, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
30 He set the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water there with which to wash;
31 and Moses, Aaron, and his sons washed their hands and their feet there.
32 Whenever they went into the tent of meeting, and when they came near the altar, they washed, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
33 And he raised up the court all around the tabernacle and the altar, and put up the screen of the court gate. Thus Moses finished the work.
34 And the cloud covered over the tent of meeting, and the glory of Jehovah filled the tabernacle.
35 And Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting, because the cloud had settled down upon it, and the glory of Jehovah filled the tabernacle.
36 Whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel would set out in all their journeys.
37 But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey till the day that it was taken up.
38 For the cloud of Jehovah was on the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the eyes of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
