1 Unto thee do I lift up mine eyes,

O thou that sittest in the heavens.

2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their master,

As the eyes of a maid unto the hand of her mistress;

So our eyes look unto Jehovah our God,

Until he have mercy upon us.

3 Have mercy upon us, O Jehovah, have mercy upon us;

For we are exceedingly filled with contempt.

4 Our soul is exceedingly filled

With the scoffing of those that are at ease,

And with the contempt of the proud.

1 〔 上 行 之 詩 。 〕 坐 在 天 上 的 主 阿 、 我 向 你 舉 目 。

2 看 哪 、 僕 人 的 眼 睛 怎 樣 望 主 人 的 手 、 使 女 的 眼 睛 怎 樣 望 主 母 的 手 、 我 們 的 眼 睛 也 照 樣 望 耶 和 華 我 們 的 　 神 、 直 到 他 憐 憫 我 們 。

3 耶 和 華 阿 、 求 你 憐 憫 我 們 、 憐 憫 我 們 ． 因 為 我 們 被 藐 視 、 已 到 極 處 。

4 我 們 被 那 些 安 逸 人 的 譏 誚 、 和 驕 傲 人 的 藐 視 、 已 到 極 處 。
