A Mulher Sábia

14 House and riches are an inheritance from fathers;

But a prudent wife is from Jehovah.

25 Strength and dignity are her clothing;

And she laugheth at the time to come.

26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom;

And the law of kindness is on her tongue.

1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2 And five of them were foolish, and five were wise. 3 For the foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them: 4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 Now while the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6 But at midnight there is a cry, Behold, the bridegroom! Come ye forth to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are going out. 9 But the wise answered, saying, Peradventure there will not be enough for us and you: go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 10 And while they went away to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage feast: and the door was shut. 11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 13 Watch therefore, for ye know not the day nor the hour.

16 A gracious woman obtaineth honor;

And violent men obtain riches.

30 Grace is deceitful, and beauty is vain;

But a woman that feareth Jehovah, she shall be praised.

11 Women in like manner must be grave, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things.

10 A worthy woman who can find?

For her price is far above rubies.

33 The fear of Jehovah is the instruction of wisdom;

And before honor goeth humility.

5 But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

10 The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom;

And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

11 Seek ye Jehovah and his strength;

Seek his face evermore.

3 that aged women likewise be reverent in demeanor, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of that which is good; 4 that they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be sober-minded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed:

4 A worthy woman is the crown of her husband;

But she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.

1 Every wise woman buildeth her house;

But the foolish plucketh it down with her own hands.

28 Her children rise up, and call her blessed;

Her husband also, and he praiseth her, saying:

29 Many daughters have done worthily,

But thou excellest them all.
