10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, If any will not work, neither let him eat.
7 Ye husbands, in like manner, dwell with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor unto the woman, as unto the weaker vessel, as being also joint-heirs of the grace of life; to the end that your prayers be not hindered.
13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
23 whatsoever ye do, work heartily, as unto the Lord, and not unto men;
8 But if any provideth not for his own, and specially his own household, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.
2 The bishop therefore must be without reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, orderly, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3 no brawler, no striker; but gentle, not contentious, no lover of money; 4 one that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
19 For I have known him, to the end that he may command his children and his household after him, that they may keep the way of Jehovah, to do righteousness and justice; to the end that Jehovah may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
18 And be not drunken with wine, wherein is riot, but be filled with the Spirit;
4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but nurture them in the chastening and admonition of the Lord.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it;
