7 God has not given us a spirit of fear. But he has given us a spirit of power and love and self-control.
13 But you were kind to help me when I was in trouble.
6 This makes you very glad, even though now maybe you are sad because you have troubles of many kinds. They are only for a short time.
6 God began to do a good work in you. And I am sure that he will keep on doing it until he has finished it. He will keep on until the day Jesus Christ comes again.
11 I want very much to see you. I want to give you some gift from the Holy Spirit to make you stronger.
12 I mean to say that we will both be helped. I will be helped because you believe, and you will be helped because I believe.
16 The load of trouble we carry now is a little heavy. But this trouble is getting something great and wonderful ready for us which will last for ever.
7 My brothers, the way you believe has comforted us in all our troubles.
11 My brothers, we beg you, tell this to people who do not do what they should do. Talk to those who fear, and say something that will make them strong. Help those who are weak. Be patient with all people.
