19 *God is not a man, that he should lie; neither a son of man, that he should repent. Shall he say and not do? and shall he speak and not make it good?
1 But the Spirit speaks expressly, that in latter times some shall apostatise from the faith, giving their mind to deceiving spirits and teachings of demons
2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, cauterised as to their own conscience,
3 forbidding to marry, {bidding} to abstain from meats, which God has created for receiving with thanksgiving for them who are faithful and know the truth.
16 These six {things} doth Jehovah hate, yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood;
18 a heart that deviseth wicked imaginations; feet that are swift in running to mischief;
19 a false witness that uttereth lies, and he that soweth discords among brethren.
44 Ye are of the devil, as {your} father, and ye desire to do the lusts of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks falsehood, he speaks of what is his own; for he is a liar and its father:
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
7 He that practiseth deceit shall not dwell within my house; he that speaketh falsehoods shall not subsist in my sight.
11 Ye shall not steal, and ye shall not deal falsely, and ye shall not lie one to another.
9 Do not lie to one another, having put off the old man with his deeds,
10 and having put on the new, renewed into full knowledge according to {the} image of him that has created him;
6 The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a fleeting breath of them that seek death.
1 [To the chief Musician. Of David. A Psalm.] O God of my praise, be not silent:
2 For the mouth of the wicked {man} and the mouth of deceit are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue,
22 Lying lips are an abomination to Jehovah; but they that deal truly are his delight.
13 The remnant of Israel shall not work unrighteousness, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: but *they* shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
5 A faithful witness will not lie; but a false witness uttereth lies.
25 Wherefore, having put off falsehood, speak truth every one with his neighbour, because we are members one of another.
15 Without {are} the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the fornicators, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and every one that loves and makes a lie.
14 but if ye have bitter emulation and strife in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.
7 Excellent speech becometh not a vile {man}; how much less do lying lips a noble!
