61 And the Lord, turning round, looked at Peter; and Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he said to him, Before {the} cock crow thou shalt deny me thrice.

62 And Peter, going forth without, wept bitterly.

61 Der Herr wandte sich um und blickte Petrus an. Da erinnerte sich Petrus an das, was der Herr zu ihm gesagt hatte: "Bevor der Hahn heute kräht, wirst du mich dreimal verleugnen."

62 Und er ging hinaus und fing an, bitterlich zu weinen.
