And Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, 
Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, 
from thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, all that enter into the service, to do the work in the tent of meeting. 
This shall be the service of the sons of Kohath in the tent of meeting: it is most holy. 
And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron and his sons shall go in, and they shall take down the veil of separation and cover the ark of testimony with it; 
and shall put thereon a covering of badgers' skin, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put its staves {to it}. 
And upon the table of shewbread they shall spread a cloth of blue; and put thereon the dishes, and the cups, and the bowls, and goblets of the drink-offering; and the continual bread shall be thereon. 
And they shall spread upon them a cloth of scarlet, and cover it with a covering of badgers' skin, and shall put its staves {to it}. 
And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and its lamps, and its snuffers, and its snuff-trays, and all the oil vessels thereof, wherewith they perform its service; 
and they shall put it and all the utensils thereof within a covering of badgers' skin, and shall put it upon a pole. 
And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badgers' skin, and shall put its staves {to it}. 
And they shall take all the instruments of service, wherewith they serve in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of badgers' skin, and shall put them upon a pole. 
And they shall cleanse the altar of the ashes, and spread a purple cloth thereon; 
and they shall put upon it all the utensils thereof, wherewith they perform service about it: the firepans, the forks, and the shovels, and the bowls, -all the utensils of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of badgers' skin, and put its staves {to it}. 
And when Aaron and his sons have ended covering the sanctuary, and all the utensils of the sanctuary, when the camp setteth forward, then afterwards the sons of Kohath shall come to carry it; but they shall not touch the holy things, lest they die. This is what the sons of Kohath have to carry in the tent of meeting. 
And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall have the oversight of the oil for the light, and the fragrant incense, and the continual oblation, and the anointing oil, -the oversight of the whole tabernacle, and of all that is therein, over the sanctuary, and over its furniture. 
And Jehovah spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, 
Ye shall not cut off the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites, 
but this shall ye do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they draw near unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden; 
but they shall not go in and see for a moment the holy things, lest they die. 
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, 
Take also the sum of the sons of Gershon, according to their fathers' houses, after their families. 
From thirty years old and upward to fifty years old shalt thou number them; every one that cometh to labour in the work, to perform the service in the tent of meeting. 
This shall be the service of the families of the Gershonites, in serving, and in carrying: 
they shall carry the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tent of meeting, its covering, and the covering of badgers' skin that is above upon it, and the curtain of the entrance to the tent of meeting, 
and the hangings of the court, and the curtain of the entrance, of the gate of the court, which surroundeth the tabernacle and the altar, and the cords thereof, and all the instruments of their service; and all that is to be done for these things shall they perform. 
At the commandment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their carrying, and in all their service; and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their carrying. 
This is the service of the families of the sons of Gershon in the tent of meeting, and their charge shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. 
The sons of Merari: after their families, according to their fathers' houses shalt thou number them; 
from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old shalt thou number them, every one that entereth into the labour, to perform the service of the tent of meeting. 
And this shall be the charge of their burden, according to all their service in the tent of meeting: the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and bases thereof, 
and the pillars of the court round about, and their bases, and their pegs, and their cords, all their instruments, according to all their service; and by name ye shall number to them the materials which are their charge to carry. 
This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service in the tent of meeting, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. 
And Moses and Aaron and the princes of the assembly numbered the sons of the Kohathites after their families, and according to their fathers' houses, 
from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, every one that entered into the labour, for service in the tent of meeting. 
And those that were numbered of them according to their families were two thousand seven hundred and fifty. 
These are they that were numbered of the families of the Kohathites, every one that served in the tent of meeting, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of Jehovah through Moses. 
And those that were numbered of the sons of Gershon, after their families, and according to their fathers' houses, 
from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, every one that entered into the labour, for service in the tent of meeting, 
even those that were numbered of them, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, were two thousand six hundred and thirty. 
These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, all that served in the tent of meeting, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of Jehovah. 
And those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, after their families, according to their fathers' houses, 
from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, every one that entered into the labour, for service in the tent of meeting, 
even those that were numbered of them according to their families, were three thousand two hundred. 
These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of Jehovah through Moses. 
All those that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the princes of Israel numbered, after their families and according to their fathers' houses, 
from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, every one that came to serve {in} the work of the service, and {in} the work of carrying, in the tent of meeting, 
even those that were numbered of them, were eight thousand five hundred and eighty. 
According to the commandment of Jehovah they were numbered by Moses, every one for his service, and for his burden, and numbered by him, as Jehovah had commanded Moses. 

И сказал Господь Моисею и Аарону, говоря: 
исчисли сынов Каафовых из сынов Левия по родам их, по семействам их, 
от тридцати лет и выше до пятидесяти лет, всех способных к службе, чтобы отправлять работы в скинии собрания. 
Вот служение сынов Каафовых в скинии собрания: [носить] Святое Святых. 
Когда стану надобно подняться в путь, Аарон и сыны его войдут, и снимут завесу закрывающую, и покроют ею ковчег откровения; 
и положат на нее покров из кож синего цвета, и сверх его накинут покрывало все из голубой [шерсти], и вложат шесты его; 
и стол [хлебов] предложения накроют одеждою из голубой [шерсти], и поставят на нем блюда, тарелки, чаши и кружки для возлияния, и хлеб [его] всегдашний должен быть на нем; 
и возложат на них одежду багряную, и покроют ее покровом из кожи синего цвета, и вложат шесты его; 
и возьмут одежду из голубой [шерсти], и покроют светильник и лампады его, и щипцы его, и лотки его, и все сосуды для елея, которые употребляют при нем, 
и покроют его и все принадлежности его покровом из кож синих, и положат на носилки; 
и на золотой жертвенник возложат одежду из голубой [шерсти], и покроют его покровом из кож синих, и вложат шесты его. 
И возьмут все вещи служебные, которые употребляются для служения во святилище, и положат в одежду из голубой [шерсти], и покроют их покровом из кож синих, и положат на носилки. 
И очистят жертвенник от пепла и накроют его одеждою пурпуровою; 
и положат на него все сосуды его, которые употребляются для служения при нем – угольницы, вилки, лопатки и чаши, все сосуды жертвенника – и покроют его покровом из кож синих, и вложат шесты его. 
Когда, при отправлении в путь стана, Аарон и сыны его покроют все святилище и все вещи святилища, тогда сыны Каафа подойдут, чтобы нести; но не должны они касаться святилища, чтобы не умереть. Сии [части] скинии собрания должны носить сыны Каафовы. 
Елеазару, сыну Аарона священника, поручается елей для светильника и благовонное курение, и всегдашнее хлебное приношение и елей помазания, – поручается вся скиния и все, что в ней, святилище и принадлежности его. 
И сказал Господь Моисею и Аарону, говоря: 
не погубите колена племен Каафовых из среды левитов, 
но вот что сделайте им, чтобы они были живы и не умерли, когда приступают к Святому Святых: Аарон и сыны его пусть придут и поставят их каждого в служении его и у ноши его; 
но сами они не должны подходить смотреть святыню, когда покрывают ее, чтобы не умереть. 
И сказал Господь Моисею, говоря: 
исчисли и сынов Гирсона по семействам их, по родам их, 
от тридцати лет и выше до пятидесяти лет, исчисли их всех способных к службе, чтобы отправлять работы при скинии собрания. 
Вот работы семейств Гирсоновых, при их служении и ношении тяжестей: 
они должны носить покровы скинии и скинию собрания, и покров ее, и покров кожаный синий, который поверх его, и завесу входа скинии собрания, 
и завесы двора, и завесу входа во двор, который вокруг скинии и жертвенника, и веревки их, и все вещи, принадлежащие к ним; и все, что делается при них, они должны работать; 
по повелению Аарона и сынов его должны производиться все службы сынов Гирсоновых при всяком ношении тяжестей и всякой работе их, и поручите их хранению все, что они носят; 
вот службы родов сынов Гирсоновых в скинии собрания, и вот что поручается их хранению под надзором Ифамара, сына Аарона, священника. 
Сынов Мерариных по родам их, по семействам их исчисли, 
от тридцати лет и выше до пятидесяти лет, исчисли всех способных на службу, чтобы отправлять работы при скинии собрания. 
Вот что они должны носить, по службе их при скинии собрания: брусья скинии и шесты ее, и столбы ее и подножия ее, 
и столбы двора со всех сторон и подножия их, и колья их, и веревки их, и все вещи при них и все принадлежности их; и поименно сосчитайте вещи, которые они обязаны носить; 
Вот работы родов сынов Мерариных, по службе их при скинии собрания, под надзором Ифамара, сына Аарона, священника. 
И исчислили Моисей и Аарон и начальники общества сынов Каафовых по родам их и по семействам их, 
от тридцати лет и выше до пятидесяти лет, всех способных к службе, для работ в скинии собрания; 
и было исчислено, по родам их, две тысячи семьсот пятьдесят: 
это – исчисленные из родов Каафовых, все служащие при скинии собрания, которых исчислил Моисей и Аарон по повелению Господню, [данному] чрез Моисея. 
И исчислены сыны Гирсона по родам их и по семействам их, 
от тридцати лет и выше до пятидесяти лет, все способные к службе, для работ в скинии собрания; 
и было исчислено по родам их, по семействам их, две тысячи шестьсот тридцать: 
это – исчисленные из родов сынов Гирсона, все служащие при скинии собрания, которых исчислил Моисей и Аарон, по повелению Господню. 
И исчислены роды сынов Мерариных по родам их, по семействам их, 
от тридцати лет и выше до пятидесяти лет, все способные к службе, для работ при скинии собрания; 
и было исчислено по родам их, три тысячи двести: 
это – исчисленные из родов сынов Мерариных, которых исчислил Моисей и Аарон по повелению Господню, [данному] чрез Моисея. 
И исчислены все левиты, которых исчислил Моисей и Аарон и начальники Израиля по родам их и по семействам их, 
от тридцати лет и выше до пятидесяти лет, все способные [к] [службе] для работ и ношения в скинии собрания; 
и было исчислено их восемь тысяч пятьсот восемьдесят; 
по повелению Господню чрез Моисея определены они каждый к своей работе и ношению, и исчислены, как повелел Господь Моисею.
