1 [To the chief Musician. Of David. A Psalm: a Song.] Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered, and let them that hate him flee before him.
2 As smoke is driven, thou wilt drive them away; as wax melteth before the fire, the wicked shall perish at the presence of God.
3 But the righteous shall rejoice: they shall exult before God and be glad with joy.
4 Sing unto God, sing forth his name; cast up a way for him that rideth in the deserts: his name is Jah; and rejoice before him.
5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
6 God maketh the solitary into families; those that were bound he bringeth out into prosperity: but the rebellious dwell in a parched {land}.
7 O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness-(Selah) -
8 The earth trembled, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God, yon Sinai, at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
9 Thou, O God, didst pour a plentiful rain upon thine inheritance, and when it was weary thou strengthenedst it.
10 Thy flock hath dwelt therein: thou hast prepared in thy goodness, for the afflicted, O God!
11 The Lord gives the word: great the host of the publishers.
12 Kings of armies flee; they flee, and she that tarrieth at home divideth the spoil.
13 Though ye have lain among the sheepfolds, {ye shall be as} wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with green gold.
14 When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it became snow-white as Zalmon.
15 {As} mount Bashan is the mount of God, a many-peaked mountain, {as} mount Bashan.
16 Why do ye look with envy, ye many-peaked mountains, upon the mount that God hath desired for his abode? yea, Jehovah will dwell {there} for ever.
17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, thousands upon thousands; the Lord is among them: it is a Sinai in holiness.
18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts in Man, and even {for} the rebellious, for the dwelling {there} of Jah Elohim.
19 Blessed be the Lord: day by day doth he load us {with good}, the *God who is our salvation. Selah.
20 Our *God is the *God of salvation; and with Jehovah, the Lord, are the goings forth {even} from death.
21 Verily God will smite the head of his enemies, the hairy scalp of him that goeth on still in his trespasses.
22 The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring {them} again from the depth of the sea;
23 That thou mayest dip thy foot in blood: the tongue of thy dogs has its portion from enemies.
24 They have seen thy goings, O God, the goings of my *God, my King, in the sanctuary.
25 The singers went before, the players on stringed instruments after, in the midst of maidens playing on tabrets.
26 In the congregations bless ye God, the Lord, -{ye} from the fountain of Israel.
27 There is little Benjamin, their ruler; the princes of Judah, their company; the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.
28 Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.
29 Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee.
30 Rebuke the beast of the reeds, the assembly of the strong, with the calves of the peoples: {every one} submitteth himself with pieces of silver. Scatter the peoples that delight in war.
31 Great ones shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall quickly stretch out her hands unto God.
32 Ye kingdoms of the earth, sing unto God; sing psalms of the Lord, (Selah,)
33 Of him that rideth upon the heavens, the heavens which are of old: lo, he uttereth his voice, a mighty voice.
34 Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.
35 Terrible art thou, O God, out of thy sanctuaries, -the *God of Israel! He it is that giveth strength and might unto the people. Blessed be God!
1 Levantar-se-á Deus, dispersos serão os seus inimigos; E os que o aborrecem, fugirão da sua presença.
2 Como a fumaça se dissipa, assim os dissiparás; Como ao fogo se derrete a cera, Assim à presença de Deus perecerão os iníquos.
3 Mas alegrar-se-ão os justos na presença de Deus, Sim se regozijarão de alegria.
4 Cantai a Deus, cantai louvores ao seu nome; Fazei uma estrada real para aquele que cavalga pelos desertos. Já é o seu nome; exultai diante dele.
5 Pai de órfãos, e juiz de viúvas, É Deus na sua santa morada.
6 Deus fez que os solitários constituíssem famílias; Tira os presos para a prosperidade: Os rebeldes, porém, habitam em terra árida.
7 Ó Deus, ao partires à frente do teu povo, Ao marchares pelo deserto; (Selá)
8 Tremeu a terra, Gotejaram também os céus à presença de Deus: Sim o Sinai tremeu à presença de Deus, do Deus de Israel.
9 Copiosa chuva mandaste, ó Deus, Tu confirmaste a tua herança, quando ela estava cansada.
10 Ali a tua grei fixou residência; Da tua bondade, ó Deus, fizeste provisão para os aflitos.
11 O Senhor expede o decreto; Grande é a companhia das mulheres que publicam as boas novas.
12 Reis de exércitos fogem, sim fogem; Aquele que fica em casa reparte os despojos.
13 Embora vos deiteis entre as cercas dos apriscos, Sois como as asas da pomba, cobertas de prata, Cujas penas maiores o são de ouro amarelo.
14 Quando o Todo-poderoso ali dispersou os reis, Foi como quando cai neve sobre o monte Zalmom.
15 Monte grandíssimo é o monte de Basã, Monte de cabeços é o de Basã.
16 Por que estais vós, montes de cabeços, olhando de inveja Para o monte que Deus escolheu para a sua habitação? Jeová habitará nele para sempre.
17 Os carros de Deus são vinte mil, sim milhares de milhares; O Senhor está no meio deles; o Sinai está no santuário.
18 Subiste ao alto, levaste cativos os prisioneiros; Recebeste dons dos homens, Mesmo dos rebeldes, para Deus Jeová habitar entre eles.
19 Bendito seja o Senhor, Que diariamente leva a nossa carga; Deus é a nossa salvação. (Selá)
20 Deus para nós é um Deus poderoso para salvar; A Jeová, Senhor nosso, pertencem os livramentos da morte.
21 Mas Deus esmigalhará a cabeça dos seus inimigos, O crânio cabeludo daquele que prossegue nos seus delitos.
22 Disse o Senhor: Desde Basã farei voltar, Fá-los-ei tornar das profundezas do mar,
23 Para que mergulhes o teu pé em sangue, E para que a língua dos teus cães haja dos inimigos o seu quinhão.
24 Eles viram, ó Deus, a tua entrada, A entrada do meu Deus, do meu rei, no santuário.
25 Iam na frente os cantores, atrás os tocadores de instrumentos de cordas, No meio das donzelas que tocavam adufes.
26 Nas congregações bendizei a Deus, Ao Senhor, vós que sois da fonte de Israel,
27 Ali está o pequeno Benjamim, seu chefe, Os príncipes de Judá em grande número, Os príncipes de Zebulom, os príncipes de Naftali.
28 O teu Deus ordena que sejas forte; Fortalece, ó Deus, o que obraste por nós.
29 Por causa do teu templo em Jerusalém, Os reis te trarão presentes.
30 Repreende a besta fera dos caniçais, A multidão dos touros, e os bezerros dos povos, Calcando aos pés os pedaços de prata: Dissipou os povos que se deleitam em guerra.
31 Do Egito virão magnates; A Etiópia se dará pressa em estender as mãos para Deus.
32 Reinos da terra, entoai cânticos a Deus; Cantai louvores ao Senhor, (Selá)
33 Àquele que monta sobre os céus dos céus desde a antigüidade; Eis que ele faz ouvir a sua voz-voz poderosa.
34 Atribui força a Deus, Cuja majestade é sobre Israel, e cuja força está nos céus.
35 Ó Deus, tu és terrível no teu santuário: O Deus de Israel, ele dá força e poder ao seu povo. Bendito seja Deus.
