1 Third time this I come to you; in mouth of two witnesses and of three shall be established every word.,
2 I have said before and I tell beforehand, (as being present,) the second time, (and being absent now,) to those having previously sinned and to the others to all, that if I should come to the again, not I will spare.
3 Since a proof you seek of the in me speaking Anointed, (who towards you not is weak, but is powerful in you;
4 even for if he was crucified from weakness, yet he lives from power of God; also for we are weak with him, but we shall live with him from power of God towards you;)
5 yourselves try you, if you are in the faith; yourselves prove you. Or not do you know yourselves, that Jesus Anointed in you is? if not without proof you are.
6 I hope but that you will know, that we not are without proof.
7 I wish but to the God, not to do you evil nothing; not that we approved ones may appear, but that you the good may do, we but as without proof may be.
8 Not fort we have power any against the truth, but on behalf of the truth.
9 We rejoice for, when we may be weak, you but strong ones may be; this but even we wish, the of you restoration.
10 On account of this these things being absent I write, so that being present not severity I may use, according to the authority, which gave to me the Lord for building up, and not for pulling down.
11 Lastly, brethren, rejoice you, be you restored, be you comforted, the same think you, be you at peace; and the God of the love and peace shall be with you.
12 Salute you each other with a holy kiss;
13 salute you the saints all.
14 The favor of the Lord Jesus Anointed, and the love of the God, and the joint participation of the holy spirit with all of you.
1 This is now the third time that I am coming to visit you. The testimony of two or three witnesses must uphold an accusation. (Deuteronomy 19:15)
2 I told you in advance as if I were present the second time. Being absent now I write to those who have sinned and to all others. If I come again I will not spare you.
3 Since you seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, who is not weak toward you but is mighty in you.
4 Though he was impaled through weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. We are weak through him also, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.
5 Examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith. Prove your own selves. Do you not know this about yourselves that Jesus Christ is with you, unless you are disqualified?
6 I trust that you will know that we are not disqualified.
7 Now I pray to God that you do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that you should do that which is honest, though we may seem disqualified.
8 We can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
9 We are glad, when we are weak, and you are strong. We also pray that you be readjusted.
10 Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power that the Lord gave me to enlightenment and not to destruction.
11 Finally brothers, farewell: Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.
12 Greet one another with a holy kiss.
13 All the holy ones salute you.
14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the intimate sharing of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
