1 And I placed on the sand of the sea. And I saw out of the sea a wildbeast coming up, having horns ten and heads seven, and on the horns of him ten diadems, and on the heads of him names of blasphemy.
2 And the wildbeast which I saw, was like to a leopard, and the feet of him as of a bear, and the mouth of him as a mouth of a lion. And gave to him the dragon the power of himself, and the throne of himself, and authority great.
3 And one of the heads of him as if having been slain to death; and the stroke of the death of him was healed. And wondered whole the earth after the wilds beast,
4 and they did homage to the dragon, because he gave the authority to the wildbeast, and they did homage to the wildbeast, saying: Who like to the wildbeast? and who is able to make war with him?
5 And was given to him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and was given to him authority to act months forty two.
6 And he opened the mouth of himself for blasphemy against the God, to blaspheme the name of him, and the tabernacle of him, and those in the heaven, tabernacling.
7 And it was given to him war to make with the holy ones, and to overcome them; and was given to him authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.
8 And will worship him all those dwelling on the earth, of which not has been written the name in the scroll of the life of the lamb of that having been killed, from a casting down of a world.
9 If any one has an hear, let him hear.
10 If any one captivity leads together, into captivity he shall be led; if any one with a sword will kill, it is necessary him with a sword to be killed. Here is the patient endurance and the faith of the holy ones.
11 And I saw another wildbeast coming up out of the earth, and he had horns two like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon.
12 And the authority of the first wildbeast all he does in presence of him; and he makes the earth and those in her dwelling that they should worship the wilds beast the first, of whom was healed the stroke of the death of him;
13 and he makes signs great, and fire so that out of the heaven it may come down into the earth, in presence of the men.
14 And he deceives those dwelling on the earth, by means of the signs which it was given to him to do in presence of the wildbeast; saying to those dwelling on the earth, to make an image to the wildbeast, which has the stroke of the sword and lived.
15 And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the wildbeast, so that both should speak the image of the wildbeast, and should cause, as many as not would do homage to the image of the wildbeast that they should be killed.
16 And hew causes all, the little ones and the great ones, and the rich ones and the poor ones, and the freedom and the bondmen, that they should give to them a mark on the hand of them the right, or on the forehead of them;
17 and that no one may be able to buy or to sell, if not the one having the mark, the name of the wildbeast, or the number of the name of him.
18 Here the wisdom is; the one having a mind, let him compute the number of the wildbeast; a number for of a man it is, and the number of him six hundred and sixtysix.
1 The dragon stood on the shore by the sea. I saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns. His horns had ten crowns on them. Blasphemous names were on his heads.
2 The beast I saw looked like a leopard. His feet were like the feet of a bear. His mouth was like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power, his throne, and great authority.
3 One of his heads appeared to have had a fatal wound. His fatal wound had healed, and the entire world followed the beast with admiration.
4 Men worshiped the dragon that gave power to the beast. They worshiped the beast, saying: "Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?"
5 A mouth speaking great things and blasphemies was given to the beast. And authority to act was given to him to continue forty-two months.
6 He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, to slander his name, and his dwelling place, and those who live in heaven.
7 It was granted to him to wage war with the holy ones, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all tribes, and tongues, and nations.
8 All the citizens of earth will worship him, all whose names have not been written in the Lamb's book of life who was slain from the foundation of the world.
9 If any man can listen, let him hear.
10 He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity. He who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. This requires the patience and the faith of the holy ones.
11 Then I saw another wild beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb and he spoke like a dragon.
12 He exercises all the authority of the first beast that came ahead of him. The second beast causes the earth and those who live there to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13 He performed great signs, so that he made fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.
14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles he had power to do in the sight of the beast. He says to those who dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast that had the wound by a sword and yet lives.
15 He had power to give breath to the image of the beast and to make that image of the beast speak. He caused many to be killed, those who would not worship the image of the beast.
16 And he forces all persons, the great and the small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads.
17 No one could buy or sell without the mark, the name of the beast, or the number of its name.
18 This requires wisdom. Let him that has understanding calculate the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.
