1 These things spoke the Jesus, and lifted up the eyes of him to the heaven, and said: O Father, is come the hour; glorify of thee the son, that also the son of thee may glorify thee;
2 as thou gavest to him authority over all flesh, so that all which thou hast given to him, he may give to them life agelasting.
3 This and is the agelasting life, that they might know thee the only true God, and whom thou hast sent Jesus Anointed.
4 I thee glorified on the earth; the work I finished, which thou hast given me, that I might do.
5 And now glorify me, thou O Father, with thyself, with the glory, which I had, before of the the world to be, with thee.
6 I manifested of thee the name to the men, whom thou hast given to me out of the world; thine they were, and to me them thou hast given; and the word of thee they have kept.
7 Now they know, that all things whatever thou hast given me, from thee is;
8 because the words which thou hast given me, I have given to them; and they received, and knew truly, that thou thee I came out, and believed, that thou me didst send.
9 I concerning them ask; not concerning the world I ask, but concerning whom thou hast given me, because thine they are;
10 and the mine all thine is, and the thine mine, and I have been glorified in them.
11 And no more I am in the world, and these in the world are, and I to thee am coming. O Father holy, keep them in the name of thee, by which thou hast given to me; that they may be one, as we.
12 When I was with them in the world, I kept them in the name of thee; whom thou hast given to me I guarded, and no one of them was destroyed, if not the son of the destruction, that the writings may be fulfilled.
13 Now and to thee I am coming, and these things I say in the world, that they may have the joy the mine fulfilled in them.
14 I have given to them the word of thee; and the world hated them, because not they are of the world, as I not am of the world.
15 Not I ask, that thou wouldst take them out of the world, but that thou wouldst keep them from the evil one.
16 Of the world not they are, as I of the world not am.
17 Sanctify them in the truth of thee; the word the thine truth is.
18 As me thou didst send into the world, also I sent them into the world.
19 And in behalf of them I sanctify myself, so that also they may be sanctified in truth.
20 Not concerning these and I ask alone, but also concerning those believing through the word of them into me.
21 That all one may be; as thou, Father, in me, and I in thee, that also they in us one may be; that the world may believe, that thou me didst send.
22 And I the glory which thou hast given to me, have given to them; that they may be one, as we one are;
23 (I in them, and thou in me); that they may be perfected into one, and that may know the world, that thou me didst send, and thou didst love them, as me thou didst love.
24 O Father, whom thou given to me, I wish, that where am I, also they may be with me; that they may behold the glory the mine, which thou didst give to me, because thou didst love me before a laying down of a world.
25 O Father righteous, and the world thee not knew; I but thee knew, and these knew that thou me didst send.
26 And I made known to them the name of thee, and will make known; that the love which thou didst love me, in them may be, and I in them.
1 Jesus spoke these things and lifted up his eyes to heaven. He said: »Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that the son may glorify you.
2 »You have given him authority over all flesh that he may give everlasting life to the ones whom you have given him.
3 »This is everlasting life that they should have *deep, intimate knowledge of you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have commissioned. *Greek: ginosko: know, perceive, be sure, understand
4 »I glorified you on the earth. I accomplished the work you gave me to do.
5 »And now, Father, glorify me with you, the glory that I had with you before the world existed.
6 »I taught your name to the men whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours and you gave them to me. They have lived by your word.
7 »Now they know that all things you gave me are from you.
8 »I gave them the words that you gave me. They understood them and knew I came from you. They believed you sent me.
9 »I pray for them. I do not pray for the world. I pray only for those you gave me, for they are yours.
10 »All things that are mine are yours, and yours are mine and I am glorified in them.
11 »I am no more in the world but they are in the world. I come to you Holy Father. Keep them in your name, which you have given to me, that they may be one*, even as we are. *Greek: heis; united in purpose and love
12 »While I was with them I kept them in your name, which you have given to me. I guarded them, and not one of them perished, except the son of perdition; that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
13 »Now I come to you. I spoke these things in the world, that they may have my joy made full in themselves.
14 »I gave them your word. The world hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 »I do not pray that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one.
16 »They are not of the world even as I am not of the world.
17 »Sanctify them by your truth. Your word is truth.
18 »As you commissioned sent me into the world, I commissioned sent them into the world.
19 »I sanctify myself for them, that they may be sanctified by truth.
20 »I pray, not for these alone but for those who will believe in me through their word.
21 »May they all be united in agreement as one. Just as you, Father, are with me, and I am with you. Help them be united with us! That way the world may believe that you sent me.
22 »I have given them the glory that you gave me in order that they may be one even as we are one.
23 »I with them, and you with me, that they may accomplish complete unity. That way the world may know that you sent me and that you love them just as you love me.
24 »Father, I desire that these whom you gave me may be with me where I am. I want them to see the glory you have given me. For you loved me before the creation of the world.
25 »Righteous Father, the world has not known you. I know you and those you sent me know you.
26 »I have made your name known, and will make it known. That way your love for me may be with them and I may be with them.«
