1 He said and to the disciples: Impossible it is of the not to come the snares; woe but, through whom they come.
2 It is possible for him if a millstone upper was hung about the neck of him and have been thrown into the sea, than he should ensnare one of the little ones these.
3 Take heed to yourselves. If and should sin against thee the brother of thee, rebuke him; and if he should reform, forgive him.
4 And if seven times of the day he should sin against thee, and seven times of the day he should turn, saying: I reform; thou shalt forgive him.
5 And said the apostles to the Lord: Do thou add to us faith.
6 Said and the Lord: If you had faith as a grain of mustard, you might say to the sycaminetree this: Be thou uprooted, and be thou planted in the sea; and it would obey you.
7 Which but of you a slave having ploughing or feeding cattle, who having come out of the field will say: Immediately going do thou recline?
8 But not will say to him: Make ready what I may sup, and having girded do thou serve me, till I may eat and drink; and after these shalt eat and drink thou?
9 Not favor has the slave that, because he did the things having been commanded? No I think.
10 So also you, when you shall have done all the things having been commanded you, say you: That slaves unprofitable we are; because what we were bound to do, we have done.
11 And it happened in the to go him to Jerusalem, and he passed through midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 And entering of him into a certain village, met him ten leprous men, who stood far off.
13 And they lifted up a voice, saying: Jesus master pity us.
14 And seeing he said to them: Going show you yourselves to the priests. And it happened in the to go them, they were cleansed.
15 One and of them, saying that he was cured turned back, with a voice loud glorifying the God;
16 and fell on face at the feet of him, giving thanks to him; and he was a Samaritan.
17 Answering and the Jesus said: Not the ten were cleansed? the but nine where?
18 Not they found having returned to give glory to the God, except the foreigner this?
19 And he said to him: Arising go thou; the faith of thee has saved thee.
20 Having been asked and by the Pharisees, when comes the kingdom of the God, he answered them, and said: Not comes the kingdom of the God with careful watching;
21 nor will they say: Lo here, or, or there; lo for, the majesty of the God in the midst of you is.
22 He said and to the disciples: Will come days, when you will desire one of the days of the son of the man to see; and not you will see.
23 And they will say to you: Lo here, or, lo there; not you may go away, nor may you follow.
24 Even as for the lightening, that flashing out of the under heaven, to the under heaven shines; so will be the son of the man in the day of him.
25 First but it behooves him many things to suffer, and to rejected from the generation this.
26 And as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the son of the man.
27 They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, till of which day entered Noah into the ark; and came the flood, and destroyed all.
28 In like manner also as it happened in the days of Lot; they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
29 in the but day went out Lot from Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed all;
30 according to these it will be in the day the son of the man is revealed.
31 In that the day, who will be on the roof, and the goods of him in the house, not let him descend to take them; and he in the field, in like manner not let him turn for the things behind.
32 Remember you of the wife of Lot.
33 Whoever may seek the life of himself to save will lose her; and whoever may lose her, will preserve her.
34 I say to you: In this the night will be two on bed one; one will be taken, and the other will be left.
35 Two will be grinding on the same; the one will be taken, and the other will be left.
36 And answering they said to him: Where, O Lord? He and said to them: Where the body, there will be gathered the eagles.
1 Jesus told his disciples: »Things that cause people to stumble do happen. However it is a terrible thing for someone to make them happen!
2 »It would be better for him to have a large millstone tied around his neck and be thrown into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin.
3 »So watch how you behave. Admonish your brother to repent when he sins. Forgive him when he repents.
4 »If he sins against you seven times in one day and repents each time, you must forgive him.«
5 The apostles said to the Lord: »Increase our faith.«
6 He answered: »If your faith was as big as a mustard seed; you could say to this mulberry tree, uproot yourself and plant yourself in the sea and it would obey you!
7 »Let us say you have a servant who is plowing or looking after the sheep. Do you tell him to hurry and eat his meal when he comes in from the field?
8 »No you do not. You say to him get my supper ready. Put on your apron and wait on me while I eat and drink. After that you may have your meal.
9 Does the servant deserve thanks for obeying orders?
10 The same applies to you. When you have done all you have been told to do, you say, we are unworthy servants. We have done what we ought to have done.«
11 Jesus traveled to Jerusalem. He went along the border between Samaria and Galilee.
12 Entering a village he met ten men suffering from a dreaded skin disease.
13 They shouted: »Jesus! Master! Have pity on us!«
14 When he saw them he told them to go show themselves to the priests. They were cleansed on the way.
15 When he was healed, one of them came back and praised God in a loud voice.
16 He fell on his face at Jesus feet and thanked him. He was a Samaritan.
17 Jesus answered: »Were all ten cleansed? Where are the nine?
18 »Were the others not willing to return with this foreigner to give glory to God?
19 He said: »Arise and go your way. Your faith has made you whole.«
20 The Pharisees asked: »When does the kingdom of God come?« Jesus answered them: »The kingdom of God does not come with observable signs.
21 »Neither shall they say it is here or over there! The kingdom of God is here with you in your midstamong you.«
22 He said to the disciples: »The time will come when you shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and you shall not see it.
23 »They will tell you go here or go there, but do not follow them.
24 »Just as the light from lightning shines from one part of the sky to another part of the sky, so the Son of man will be in his day.
25 »First he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
26 »The days of the Son of man will be like the days of Noah.
27 »They ate, they drank and they got married until Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 »The days of Lot were similar. They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted and they built.
29 »But when Lot left Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 »It will be similar in the day that the Son of man is revealed.
31 »A man will be on the housetop. He should not go down into the house to take his possessions. He that is in the field should likewise not return to the house.
32 »Remember Lots wife!
33 »He who seeks to gain his life will lose it. He who loses his life will preserve it.
34 »I tell you, that on that night there will be two in one bed. One will be taken learnbe received and the other will be left omitedforsaken.
35 »There will be two grinding together. One will be taken and the other will be left.
36 »There will be two men in the field. One will be taken and the other will be left.«
37 They asked him: »Where, Lord?« And he said to them: »Where the body is the eagles will also gather.«
