28 And having said these, he went before, going up to Jerusalem.
29 And it happened as he drew near to Bethphage and Bethany, to the mountain the being called of olivetrees, he sent two of the disciples of himself,
30 saying: Go you into the overagainst village; in which entering you will find a colt having tied, on which no one ever of men sat; having loosed him bring you.
31 And if any one you may ask: Why do you loose? thus say you to him: That the lord of him need has.
32 Having gone and those having been sent found, as he said to them.
33 Loosing and of them the colt, said the lords of him to them: Why loose you the colt.
34 They and said: The lord of him need has.
35 And they led him to the Jesus; and having thrown of themselves the mantles on the colt, they set on the Jesus.
36 Going and of him, they spread under the mantles of them in the way.
37 Drawing near and of him now to the descent of the mountain of the olivetrees, began all the multitude of the disciples rejoicing to praise the God with a voice loud for all which they saw mighty works,
38 saying: Worthy of blessing the coming king in name of Lord; peace in heaven, and glory in highest.
39 And some of the Pharisees from the crowd said to him: O teacher, rebuke the disciples of thee.
40 And answering he said to them: I say to you, that if these should be silent, the stones will cry out.
28 After Jesus spoke he went to Jerusalem.
29 When he came close to Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, he sent two of the disciples.
30 He told them, »Go into the nearby village. You will find a colt tied. No man has ever sat on him. Untie him and bring him to me.
31 »If any one asks why you untied him say the Lord needs him.«
32 They left and found things to be as he said.
33 The owners found them when they untied the colt and asked why do you untie the colt?
34 They said: »The Lord needs him.«
35 They brought him to Jesus. Then they threw their garments on the colt and Jesus sat on him.
36 As he went, they spread their garments in the way.
37 He was near the descent of the Mount of Olives. The entire crowd of disciples rejoiced and praised God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen.
38 They said: »Blessed is the King that comes in the name of Jehovah! Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest heaven!« (Psalms 118:26; 134:3)
39 Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, »Teacher, rebuke your disciples.«
40 He answered: »I tell you if these remain quiet the stones will cry out!«
