And they came to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. 
And having come to him out of the ship, immediately met him out of the tombs a man in spirit unclean, 
who the dwelling had in the tomb; and not even with chains no one was able him to bind, 
for the him many times with fetters and chains to have been bound, and to have been hurt by him the chains, and the fetters to have been broken; and no one him was able to tame; 
and always, night and day, in the tombs and in mountains he was crying out, and cutting himself with stones. 
Seeing and the Jesus from a distance, he ran, and prostrated to him; 
and crying out with voice great, said: what to me and to thee, Jesus, O son of the God of the highest? I will adjure thee the God, not me thou mayest torment. 
(He had said for to him: Come out the spirit the unclean out of the man.) 
And he asked him: What thy name? and he says to him: Legion name to me; for many we are. 
And he besought him many times, that not them he would send out of the country. 
Was and there near to the mountain a herd of swine great feeding. 
And besought him the demons, saying: Dismiss us into the swine, that into them we may go. 
And gave leave to them immediately the Jesus. And having come out the spirits the unclean entered into the swine; and rushed the herd down the precipice into the sea; they were and about two thousand; and were choked in the sea. 
Those and feeding them fled, and reported to the city, and to the villages. And they came out to see, what is that having been done. 
And they come to the Jesus, and they behold the being demonized sitting and having been clothed, and being of sane mind, and having been possessed by the legion; and they were afraid. 
And related to them those having seen, how it happened to the one being demonized, and about the swine. 
And they began to entreat him to depart from the coasts of them. 
And entering of him into the ship, besought him he having been demonized, that he might be with him. 
And not he suffered him, but he says to him: Go into the house of thee to the friends, and relate to them, how much to thee the Lord has done, and has pitied thee. 
And he went, and began to publish in the Decapolis, how much had done to him the Jesus; and all were astonished. 
And having passed over the Jesus in the ship again to the other side, were gathered a crowd great to him; and he was by the sea. 
And lo, comes one of the synagoguerulers, by name Jairus; and seeing him, he fell to the feet of him, 
and besought him much, saying: That the littledaughter of me last end is; that coming thou mayest put to her the hands, so that she may be saved; and she shall live. 
And he went with him; and followed him a crowd great, and pressed on him. 
And a woman certain being in a flow of blood years twelve, 
and many things having suffered under many physicians, and having spent the things of her all, and nothing having seen benefited, but rather into the worse state having come, 
having heard about Jesus, having come in the crowd behind, touched the mantle of him. 
(She said for: That even if the cloths of him I may touch, I shall be saved.) 
And immediately was dried up the source of the blood of her; and knew to the body, that was saved from the scourge. 
And immediately the Jesus knowing in himself the out of himself power having gone out, having turned round in the crowd, said: Who of me touched the clothes? 
And said to him the disciples of him: Thou seest the crowd pressing on thee; and sayest thou: Who me touched? 
And he was looking round to see the (woman) this having done. 
The but woman, fearing and trembling, having known what was done on her, came and fell down to him, and told to him all the truth. 
He but said to her: Daughter, the faith of thee has saved thee; go in peace, and be thou well from the scourge of thee. 
While of him speaking, they came from the synagoguerulers, saying: That the daughter of thee is dead; why yet troubled thou the teacher? 
The but Jesus immediately, having heard the word being spoken, says to the synagogueruler: Not fear, only believe thou. 
And not he suffered no one him to follow, except Peter, and James, and John the brother of James. 
And he comes into the house of the synagogueruler, and he sees a tumult, and weeping and wailing much. 
And having entered he says to them: Why are you troubled and do you weep? the child not is dead, but sleeps. 
And they derided him. He but, having sent out all he takes the father of the child, and the mother and those with him, and goes in, where was the child. 
And having grasped the hand of the child, he says to her: Talitha, cumi; which is being translated: The girl, to thee I say, arise. 
And immediately arose the girl, and walked about; she was for years twelve. And they were astonished with an astonishment great. 
And he charged them much, that no one might know this; and spake to have given to her to eat. 

They traveled to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gerasenes. 
Just as he got out of the boat a man with an unclean spirit came to him from the tombs. 
He was living in the tombs. No man was able to bind him even with a chain. 
Often he was bound in chains and iron bands but he would break them. No man was strong enough to keep him still. 
Day and night in the tombs and in the mountains he cried out. He would cut himself with stones. 
He saw Jesus from far off and quickly approached and bowed down before him. 
Crying out with a loud voice, he said: »What have I to do with you, Jesus, Son of the highest God? In Gods name do not torment me!« 
Jesus commanded: »Come out of the man you unclean spirit!« 
Then Jesus said: »What is your name?« He answered: »My name is Legion because there are a great number of us.« 
He earnestly implored him not to send the spirits away out of the country. 
There was a large herd of pigs feeding on the mountainside. 
They pleaded with Jesus: »Send us into the pigs!« 
He let them do it. Then the unclean spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd went rushing down a sharp slope into the sea. About two thousand of them died in the sea. 
Their keepers ran off to the town to tell others what happened. People came to see what had taken place. 
When they came to Jesus they saw the man who had been demon possessed. He was fully clothed and in full use of his senses. So they were afraid. 
Those who saw the event gave a full account of what happened to the man, the evil spirits and the pigs. 
They asked Jesus to leave their country. 
Entering the boat, the man who had been possessed with demons asked that he might be allowed to travel with him. 
Jesus told him: »Go to your house and to your friends and tell them about the great things God did for you and how he had mercy on you.« 
He went away and told others in Decapolis what great things Jesus had done for him. They all marveled. 
Again Jesus crossed over in the boat to the other side. A great crowd gathered to him while he was by the sea. 
Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue, saw Jesus and fell at his feet. 
He pleaded with him saying: »My little daughter is at the point of death. Please come and lay your hands on her that she will be healed and live.« 
Jesus went with him. A great crowd followed him and they pressed very close to him. 
There was a woman who had an issue of blood twelve years. 
She suffered treatment from many physicians but did not become better. She spent all her money and grew worse. 
Hearing about Jesus she came though the crowd and touched his garment. 
She said: »If I touch his garments I shall be made whole.« 
Immediately the flow of her blood dried up. She felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction. 
Suddenly Jesus recognized that power issued from him. He turned to the crowd and asked: »Who touched my garments?« 
His disciples said to him: »You see all these people around you and you ask who touched me?« 
He looked around to see the woman who had done this thing. 
The woman was afraid and trembled. Knowing what happened she fell down before him, and told him the truth. 
He said: »Daughter your faith has made you whole. Go in peace and be healed of your affliction.« 
While he yet spoke they came from the ruler of the synagogues house. They said: »Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the teacher.« 
But Jesus did not listen. He said to the ruler of the synagogue believe and do not fear. 
He allowed only Peter, James, and John the brother of James to follow him. 
The house of the ruler of the synagogue was filled with commotion. Many were weeping and wailing. 
He entered and said: »Why all the commotion and why do you weep. The child is not dead but sleeps.« 
They laughed him to scorn. He sent them all out of the house. Then he took the father, mother and his companions and went to the child. 
He took the child by the hand and said to her: »Talitha cumi.« Which means when interpreted, »little girl I say to you arise.« 
Immediately the twelve-year old girl rose up and walked. And they were promptly amazed with a great amazement. 
He gave them firm orders not to tell any man about this. Then he commanded that she be given something to eat.
