1 {Lobet Jehova! {Hallelujah!} } Lobet Jehova von den Himmeln her; lobet ihn in den Höhen!
2 Lobet ihn, alle seine Engel; lobet ihn, alle seine Heerscharen!
3 Lobet ihn, Sonne und Mond; lobet ihn, alle ihr leuchtenden Sterne!
4 Lobet ihn, ihr Himmel der Himmel, und ihr Wasser, die ihr oberhalb der Himmel seid!
5 Loben sollen sie den Namen Jehovas! Denn er gebot, und sie waren geschaffen;
6 und er stellte sie hin für immer und ewig; er gab ihnen eine Satzung, und sie werden sie nicht überschreiten.
7 Lobet Jehova von der Erde her, ihr Wasserungeheuer und alle Tiefen!
8 Feuer und Hagel, Schnee und Nebel, du Sturmwind, der du ausrichtest sein Wort;
9 ihr Berge und alle Hügel, Fruchtbäume und alle Cedern;
10 Wildes Getier und alles Vieh, kriechende Tiere und geflügeltes Gevögel!
11 Ihr Könige der Erde und alle Völkerschaften, ihr Fürsten und alle Richter der Erde;
12 Ihr Jünglinge und auch ihr Jungfrauen, ihr Alten samt den Jungen!
13 Loben sollen sie den Namen Jehovas! Denn sein Name ist hoch erhaben, er allein; seine Majestät ist über Erde und Himmel.
14 Und er hat erhöht das Horn seines Volkes, {Eig. ein Horn seinem Volke} das Lob {O. den Ruhm} all seiner Frommen, der Kinder Israel, des Volkes, das ihm nahe ist. Lobet Jehova! {Hallelujah!}

Praise Yahweh from the heavens!
Praise him in the heights!
2 Praise him, all his angels!
Praise him, all his army!
3 Praise him, sun and moon!
Praise him, all you shining stars!
4 Praise him, you heavens of heavens,
you waters that are above the heavens.
5 Let them praise Yahweh’s name,
for he commanded, and they were created.
6 He has also established them forever and ever.
He has made a decree which will not pass away.
7 Praise Yahweh from the earth,
you great sea creatures, and all depths,
8 lightning and hail, snow and clouds,
stormy wind, fulfilling his word,
9 mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars,
10 wild animals and all livestock,
small creatures and flying birds,
11 kings of the earth and all peoples,
princes and all judges of the earth,
12 both young men and maidens,
old men and children.
13 Let them praise Yahweh’s name,
for his name alone is exalted.
His glory is above the earth and the heavens.
14 He has lifted up the horn of his people,
the praise of all his saints,
even of the children of Israel, a people near to him.
