2 Gott ist uns Zuflucht und Stärke, eine Hülfe, reichlich gefunden {O. leicht zu finden; eig. sich finden lassend, wie 2. Chr. 15,4} in Drangsalen.

3 Darum werden wir uns nicht fürchten, wenngleich gewandelt würde die Erde, und wenn die Berge wankten im Herzen des Meeres,

4 Wenn seine Wasser tobten und schäumten, die Berge erbebten durch sein Ungestüm. (Sela.)

5 Ein Strom - seine Bäche erfreuen die Stadt Gottes, das Heiligtum der Wohnungen des Höchsten.

6 Gott ist in ihrer Mitte, sie wird nicht wanken; Gott wird ihr helfen beim Anbruch des Morgens.

7 Es toben die Nationen, die Königreiche wanken; er läßt seine Stimme erschallen: die Erde zerschmilzt.

8 Jehova der Heerscharen ist mit uns, eine hohe Feste ist uns der Gott Jakobs. (Sela.)

9 Kommet, schauet die Großtaten Jehovas, der {O. wie er} Verheerungen angerichtet hat auf der Erde!

10 Der die Kriege beschwichtigt bis an das Ende der Erde, den Bogen zerbricht und den Speer zerschlägt, die Wagen mit Feuer verbrennt.

11 Lasset ab und erkennet, daß ich Gott bin! Ich werde erhöht werden unter den Nationen, ich werde erhöht werden auf Erden.

12 Jehova der Heerscharen ist mit uns, eine hohe Feste ist uns der Gott Jakobs. (Sela.)

1 God is our refuge and strength,

a very present help in trouble.

2 Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes,

though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas;

3 though its waters roar and are troubled,

though the mountains tremble with their swelling. Selah.

4 There is a river, the streams of which make the city of God glad,

the holy place of the tents of the Most High.

5 God is within her. She shall not be moved.

God will help her at dawn.

8 Come, see Yahweh’s works,

what desolations he has made in the earth.

9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth.

He breaks the bow, and shatters the spear.

He burns the chariots in the fire.

10 "Be still, and know that I am God.

I will be exalted among the nations.

I will be exalted in the earth."

11 Yahweh of Armies is with us.
