1 Petrus aber und Johannes gingen zusammen hinauf in den Tempel um die Stunde des Gebets, die neunte.

2 Und ein gewisser Mann, der von seiner Mutter Leibe an lahm war, ward getragen, den sie täglich setzten an die Pforte des Tempels, genannt die schöne, um ein Almosen zu bitten von denen, die in den Tempel eingingen.

3 Dieser, als er Petrus und Johannes sah, wie sie in den Tempel eintreten wollten, bat, daß er ein Almosen bekäme.

4 Petrus aber, unverwandt mit Johannes auf ihn hinsehend, sprach: Siehe uns an!

5 Er aber gab Acht auf sie, in der Erwartung, etwas von ihnen zu bekommen.

6 Petrus aber sprach: Silber und Gold habe ich nicht, was ich aber habe, das gebe ich dir: In dem Namen Jesu Christi, des Nazaräers, stehe auf und wandele!

7 Und er griff ihn bei der rechten Hand und richtete ihn auf; und alsbald wurden seine Füße und seine Knöchel fest.

8 Und aufspringend stand er und wandelte; und ging mit ihnen in den Tempel, wandelnd und springend und Gott lobend.

9 Und alles Volk sah ihn wandeln und Gott loben;

10 und sie erkannten ihn, daß er der war, welcher um das Almosen an der schönen Pforte des Tempels saß; und sie waren mit Verwunderung und Erstaunen erfüllt über das, was sich mit ihm ereignet hatte.

1 In the same now Peter and John were going up into the temple at the hour of the prayer the ninth.

2 And a certain man lame from womb of mother of himself being, was being carried; whom they placed every day at the door of the temple that being called beautiful, the to ask alms from those entering into the temple.

3 Who seeing Peter and John being about to go into the temple, asked alms to receive.

4 Looking steadily and Peter on him with the John, said: Look on us.

5 He and gave heed to them, expecting something from them to receive.

6 Said and Peter: Silver and gold not are possessed by me; what but I have, this to thee I give. In the name of Jesus Anointed the Nazarene do thou arise and walk.

7 And having taken him the right hand he rose up; immediately and were strengthened of him the feet and the anklebones.

8 And leaping up he stood, and walked; and entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping, and praising the God.

9 And saw him all the people walking and praising the God;

10 they knew and him, that he was who for the alms sitting at the beautiful gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that having happened to him.
