1 Darnach fuhr Jesus über den See von Galiläa, den von Tiberias;

2 und es folgte ihm eine große Volksmenge, weil sie die T. r. seine Zeichen sahen, die er an den Kranken that.

3 Jesus aber ging hinauf auf den Berg, und daselbst saß er mit seinen Jüngern.

4 Es war aber nahe des Passah, das Fest der Juden.

5 Als nun Jesus die Augen aufhob und sah, daß eine große Volksmenge zu ihm kommt, spricht er zu Philippus: Woher sollen wir Brote kaufen, auf daß diese essen?

6 Dies sagte er aber, ihn versuchend, denn er selbst wußte, was er thun wollte.

7 Philippus antwortete ihm: Für zweihundert Denare Brote reichen nicht hin für sie, auf daß jeglicher T. r. f. h. von ihnen etwas weniges bekomme.

8 Einer von seinen Jüngern, Andreas, der Bruder des Simon Petrus, spricht zu ihm:

9 Es ist ein kleiner Knabe hier, der hat fünf GerstenBrote und zwei kleine Fische; aber was ist dies unter so viele?

10 Jesus aber sprach: Machet, daß die Leute sich lagern. Es war aber viel Gras an dem Orte. Es lagerten sich nun die Männer an Zahl bei fünftausend.

11 Jesus aber Viele l. Jesus dann nahm die Brote, und als er gedankt hatte, theilte er sieT. r. f. h. unter die Jünger, die Jünger aber denen aus, die da lagerten; gleicherweise auch von den kleinen Fischen, so viel sie wollten.

12 Als sie aber gesättigt waren, spricht er zu seinen Jüngern: Sammelt die übriggebliebenen Brocken, damit nichts verloren gehe.

13 Sie sammelten nun und füllten zwölf Körbe mit Brocken, von den fünf GerstenBroten, welche übrig blieben denen, die gegessen hatten.

14 Die Leute nun, als sie das Zeichen sahen, das Jesus that, sprachen: Dieser ist wahrlich der Prophet der in die Welt kommen soll.

1 After these things went the Jesus over the sea that of Galilee, of the Tiberias.

2 And was following him a crowd great, because they saw the signs, which he was doing on those being sick.

3 Went and into the mountain the Jesus, and there he was sitting with the disciples of himself.

4 Was and near the passover, the feast of the Jews.

5 Lifted up then the Jesus the eyes, and seeing that great a crowd was coming to him, says to the Philip: Whence shall we buy loaves, that may eat these?

6 (This but he said trying him; he for knew, what he was about to do.)

7 Answered him Philip: Two hundred denarii of loaves not are enough for them, so that each of them a little may take.

8 Says to him one of the disciples of him, Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter:

9 Is little boy one here, who has five loaves barley, and two small fishes; but these what are for so many?

10 Said and the Jesus: Make you the men to recline. Was and grass much in the place. Reclined therefore the men the number about five thousand.

11 Took and the loaves the Jesus, and having thanks distributed to the disciples, the and disciples to those reclining; in like manner also of the fishes what they wished.

12 When and they were filled, he says to the disciples of himself: Collect the remaining fragments, so that not any may be lost.

13 They collected therefore, and filled twelve baskets of fragments, out of the five loaves of the barley, which remained to those having eaten.

14 The therefore men seeing what did a sign the Jesus, said: That this is truly the prophet, he coming into the world.
