When Jesus had said these things, He was troubled in His spirit, and testified and said, "Most assuredly I say to you, one of you will betray Me."
Therefore the disciples were looking at one another, perplexed about whom He was speaking.
Now there was reclining on Jesus' bosom one of His disciples, [the one ]whom Jesus loved.
Simon Peter therefore motioned to him to inquire who it might be about whom He was speaking.
Then, leaning back thus on Jesus' chest, he said to Him, "Lord, who is it?"
Jesus answered, "It is the [one] to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it."And having dipped the bread, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
And after the piece of bread, then Satan entered him. Therefore Jesus said to him, "What you do, do quickly."
But no one reclining at the table knew for what purpose He said [this] to him.
For some were thinking, since Judas had the money box, that Jesus was saying to him, "Buy [the ]things of which we need for the feast,"or that he should give something to the poor.
Therefore having received the piece of bread, he then went out immediately. And it was night.
