22 For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom;
23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness,
24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
30 And Phillip, running up to it, heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, "Do you understand what you are reading?"
31 And he said, "How can I, unless someone helps me?"And he urged Philip to come up and sit with him.
32 Now the portion of the Scripture which he was reading was this: "He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and as a lamb before its shearer is silent, thus He opened not His mouth.
21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, God was well pleased, through the foolishness of our preaching, to save those that believe.
7 And as you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.'
35 And Philip, opening his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture, preached the good news [about] Jesus to him.
4 But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.' "
14 How then shall they call on Him in[ ]whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear apart from a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, of those preaching the gospel of good things!"
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?"
17 So then faith [comes] by hearing, and hearing by [the] word of God.
6 I marvel that you are turning so quickly from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel,
7 which is not another; except there are certain people who trouble you and wish to pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach a gospel to you other than what we preached to you, let him be accursed.
9 As we have said before, and I say again just now, if anyone preaches a gospel to you other than what you received, let him be accursed.
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes, both to the Jew first and to the Greek.
17 For in it [the] righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."
2 preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all patience and teaching.
11 And these were more noble-minded than[ ]those in Thessalonica, who received the word with all readiness, each day examining the Scriptures [to see ]whether these things might be so.
12 For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
4 For as many things as were previously written, were written for our own instruction, that through the patience and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we may have hope.
17 Sanctify them by Your truth; Your word is truth.
18 I testify to everyone hearing the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to them, may God add to him the plagues having been written in this book.
19 And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, may God take away his part from the tree of Life, and from the holy city, [and from] the things having been written in this book.
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
17 that the man of God may be proficient, having been thoroughly equipped for every good work.
20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture comes about [from] one's own interpretation,
21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke, being brought along by [the] Holy Spirit.
25 but the word of the LORD endures forever."Now this is the word which was proclaimed to you.
15 Be diligent to show yourself approved unto God, a worker unashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 And according to Paul's custom, he went in to them, and for three Sabbaths he reasoned with them from the Scriptures,
3 interpreting and pointing out that it was necessary for the Christ to suffer, and to arise from the dead, and [saying ]that "This is the Christ, Jesus, whom I proclaim to you."
39 You search the Scriptures, because you think [that] in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify about Me.
12 Now we did not receive the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, in order that we might know the things freely given to us by God;
13 which things we also speak, not in words taught in human wisdom, but in words taught by the Holy Spirit, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not in eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ should be deprived of its power.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall by no means pass away.
15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
17 that the man of God may be proficient, having been thoroughly equipped for every good work.
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.
19 Go [therefore] and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."Amen.
13 Until I come, give attention to [public] reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
25 Then He said to them, "O [you ]foolish, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!
26 Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?"
27 And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.
15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation-just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, wrote to you,
16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them about these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the unlearned and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.
9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's [own] possession, that you may proclaim the excellent virtues of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
