15 See that no one pays back evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue that which is good, both for one another and for all.
14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatever you may do in word or deed, do all things in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
27 They were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed [them] all.
18 Wives, subject yourselves to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them.
4 Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
4 Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
4 Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
3 Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband.
4 The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband [does]. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife [does].
25 Husbands, love your own wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
26 in order that He might sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing of water by the word,
5 Therefore put to death your members on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.
2 For the woman who is under a man has been bound by law to the living husband. But if the husband should die, she is released from the law of the husband.
3 So then, while the husband is living, she will be called an adulteress if she becomes [married] to a different husband; but if her husband should die, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress, having become [married] to a different husband.
14 For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified by the husband; otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.
3 But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints;
4 Love is patient, love is kind; love does not envy; love does not boast, is not arrogant;
5 does not behave disgracefully, does not seek its own, is not provoked to anger, thinks no evil;
6 does not rejoice over unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
10 for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is opposed to sound doctrine,
8 But I say to the unmarried and to the widows: It is good for them if they should remain as I also [remain];
9 but if they are not exercising self-control, let them marry. For it is better to marry than to burn [with passion].
10 Now to those who have married I command, yet not I, but the Lord: A wife is not to be separated from her husband-
11 and even if she does separate, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband-and a husband is not to divorce his wife.
18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits fornication sins against his own body.
19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
20 For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let each [man] have his own wife, and let each [woman] have her own husband.
31 "Furthermore it has been said, 'Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a divorce certificate.'
32 "But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife, except for a matter of sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery; and whoever marries a divorcee commits adultery.
25 Husbands, love your own wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
26 in order that He might sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing of water by the word,
27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and blameless.
28 So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he that loves his own wife loves himself.
29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as also the Lord does the church.
30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.
6 So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are: adultery, fornication, immorality, lewdness,
20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions,
21 envies, murders, drinking bouts, revelries, and the like; which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
4 And He answered and said to them, "Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female,'
5 and He said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'?
6 So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."
8 Whenever you are invited by someone to a wedding celebration, do not sit down in the place of honor, lest one more honorable than you be invited by him;
21 And they did not repent of their murders, nor of their drugs, nor of their fornication or their thefts.
28 So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he that loves his own wife loves himself.
29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as also the Lord does the church.
30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.
22 Wives, subject yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord,
23 because the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
24 But just as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
3 For this is [the] will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from fornication,
4 that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor,
5 not in lustful passion, like the Gentiles who do not know God,
3 Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband.
4 The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband [does]. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife [does].
5 Do not deprive one another, except by mutual agreement, [and that] for a season, so that you may devote yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, lest Satan tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
36 Now there was one, Anna, a prophetess, a daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of a great age, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity;
29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit eternal life.
4 They said, "Moses permitted [a man] to write a certificate of divorce, and to put her away."
5 And Jesus answered and said to them, "In view of your hardheartedness he wrote this commandment for you.
6 But from the beginning of the creation, God 'made them male and female.'
7 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife,
8 'and the two shall become one flesh'; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh.
9 Therefore what God has united together, let not man separate."
6 if a man is unimpeachable, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of dissipation or [who are ]insubordinate.
27 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery.'
28 But I say to you, that whoever looks at a woman in order to lust after her has already committed adultery [with] her in his heart.
1 Now concerning the[ ]things of which you wrote to me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let each [man] have his own wife, and let each [woman] have her own husband.
32 But I want you to be without anxiety. The unmarried man cares about the things of the Lord-[about ]how he may please the Lord.
33 But the [man] having married cares about the things of the world-[about ]how he may please his wife.
34 And the wife and the virgin are different. The unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But the woman having married cares about the things of the world-about how she may please her husband.
7 Husbands, likewise, live together according to knowledge as with a weaker vessel, with the wife, showing her honor as also a fellow heir of the grace of life, in order that your prayers may not be hindered.
7 Husbands, likewise, live together according to knowledge as with a weaker vessel, with the wife, showing her honor as also a fellow heir of the grace of life, in order that your prayers may not be hindered.
31 "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh."
22 Wives, subject yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord,
23 because the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
24 But just as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
31 "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh."
32 This is a great mystery, but I speak in reference to Christ and to the church.
33 Nevertheless you also individually, let each one love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respect her husband.
13 Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both this [stomach] and these [foods]. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
14 Now God has both raised up the Lord, and will also raise us up through His power.
33 Nevertheless you also individually, let each one love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respect her husband.
33 Nevertheless you also individually, let each one love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respect her husband.
10 And standing up and seeing no one but the woman, Jesus said to her, "Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?"
11 She said, "No one, Lord."And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more."
22 Wives, subject yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord,
23 because the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
39 A wife has been bound by law as long as her husband lives; but if her husband also dies, she is free to be married to whom she desires, only in the Lord.
1 It is actually heard that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not even named among the Gentiles-that a man has his father's wife!
2 And you have become arrogant, and have not rather grieved, so that he who did this deed would be removed from your midst.
2 For true and righteous are His judgments, for He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged the blood of His servants [shed] by her hand."
12 And if a wife should put away her husband and be married to another, she commits adultery."
2 It is necessary, therefore, for a bishop to be irreproachable, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, well-behaved, hospitable, skillful at teaching;
12 Let deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children well, and their own houses.
14 Do not become unequally yoked with unbelievers; for what participation is there for righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion is there for light with darkness?
20 But I have [this] against you, that you tolerate your wife Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit fornication and eat things sacrificed to idols.
9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,
10 nor covetous, nor thieves, nor drunkards, nor abusive people, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
5 and He said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'?
6 So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."
24 saying: "Teacher, Moses said that if a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife as next of kin, and shall raise up offspring for his brother.
30 For in the resurrection neither do they marry, nor are they given in marriage, but they are like angels of God in heaven.
