12 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.
41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. Indeed the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
8 Be sober, be watchful; your adversary the devil walks about as a roaring lion, seeking someone he may devour.
4 through which have been given to us precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through these we may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil [one]. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall by no means fulfill the lust of the flesh.
2 You lust and you do not have. You murder and are jealous and you cannot obtain. You fight and make war. You do not have because you do not ask.
10 For the love of money is[ the] root of all evil, of which some [by] aspiring have strayed away from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? By no means! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known lust unless the law had said, "You shall not covet."
4 Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
16 Because everything that is in the world-the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-is not from the Father but is from the world.
13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.
13 For you, brothers were called to freedom; only do not use freedom for an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let each [man] have his own wife, and let each [woman] have her own husband.
17 And the world is passing away, and its lust; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
1 Brothers, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness, looking out for yourself lest you also be tempted.
13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not permit you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation, He will also make the way out, [so as for] you to be able to bear it.
21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
5 Therefore put to death your members on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.
