24 "No one is able to serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and he will love the other, or else he will be devoted to the one, and he will despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
36 For what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul?
9 But those desiring to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and many senseless and harmful lusts which sink men into destruction and perdition.
3 But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints;
15 And He said to them, "Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."
10 For the love of money is[ the] root of all evil, of which some [by] aspiring have strayed away from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
19 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on the earth, where moth and rust corrupt, and where thieves dig through and steal;
20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust corrupts, and where thieves do not dig through and steal.
6 For on account of this you also pay taxes, for they are ministers of God, always giving attention to this very thing.
5 Therefore put to death your members on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.
