26 For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give [as] an exchange for his soul?
18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are for a season, but the things which are not seen last forever.
9 Likewise also that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and discretion, not with braids or gold or pearls or expensive clothing,
10 but which is fitting for women professing godliness, by means of good works.
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain that neither can we carry anything out!
8 But having food and clothing, with these things we shall be content.
17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to put their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but in the living God, who provides all things richly for us to enjoy,
15 And He said to them, "Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."
32 Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things belonging to him was his own, but they had all things in common.
9 But those desiring to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and many senseless and harmful lusts which sink men into destruction and perdition.
19 "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on the earth, where moth and rust corrupt, and where thieves dig through and steal;
20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust corrupts, and where thieves do not dig through and steal.
21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
21 Jesus said to him, "If you desire to be perfect, go, sell your belongings and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."
5 Therefore put to death your members on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.
36 For what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul?
5 Let [your] way of life [be] without loving money, being satisfied with what you have. For He Himself has said, "By no means shall I desert you, nor in any way shall I forsake you;"
