9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth, and hath not another to lift him up. 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have warmth: but how can one be warm alone? 12 And if a man prevail against him that is alone, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
33 Nevertheless do ye also severally love each one his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she fear her husband.
14 and above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfectness.
6 So that they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
5 When a man taketh a new wife, he shall not go out in the host, neither shall he be charged with any business: he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer his wife which he hath taken.
2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine. 3 Thine ointments have a goodly fragrance; thy name is as ointment poured forth; therefore do the virgins love thee.
28 Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his own wife loveth himself: 29 for no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as Christ also the church;
22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.
15 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thine eyes are as doves. 16 Behold, thou art fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our couch is green.
9 Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, my bride; thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, with one chain of thy neck.
22 and the rib, which the LORD God had taken from the man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23 And the man said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
4 Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5 doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not provoked, taketh not account of evil; 6 rejoiceth not in unrighteousness, but rejoiceth with the truth; 7 beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the flashes thereof are flashes of fire, a very flame of the LORD. 7 Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, he would utterly be contemned.
18 Let thy fountain be blessed; and rejoice in the wife of thy youth. 19 As a loving hind and a pleasant doe, let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love. 20 For why shouldest thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?
15 And did he not make one, although he had the residue of the spirit? And wherefore one? He sought a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.
