7 and when they were come over against Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia; and the Spirit of Jesus suffered them not;
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end.
31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
1 Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
5 But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart, and lean not upon thine own understanding: 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
16 Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness:
33 The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
14 And this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us:
17 that the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work.
5 In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee. 6 And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great kindness, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. 7 And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child; I know not how to go out or come in. 8 And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude. 9 Give thy servant therefore an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this thy great people? 10 And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. 11 And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment; 12 behold, I have done according to thy word: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there hath been none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
9 Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still hold fast thine integrity? renounce God, and die. 10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.
1 Now there were at Antioch, in the church that was there, prophets and teachers, Barnabas, and Symeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen the foster-brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 2 And as they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. 3 Then, when they had fasted and prayed and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
14 Where no wise guidance is, the people falleth: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
1 He that separateth himself seeketh his own desire, and rageth against all sound wisdom. 2 A fool hath no delight in understanding, but only that his heart may reveal itself. 3 When the wicked cometh, there cometh also contempt, and with ignominy cometh reproach. 4 The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters; the wellspring of wisdom is as a flowing brook. 5 To accept the person of the wicked is not good, nor to turn aside the righteous in judgment. 6 A fool’s lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for stripes. 7 A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. 8 The words of a whisperer are as dainty, morsels, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly. 9 He also that is slack in his work is brother to him that is a destroyer. 10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. 11 The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own imagination. 12 Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour goeth humility. 13 He that giveth answer before he heareth, it is folly and shame unto him. 14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a broken spirit who can bear?
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
