17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. 18 And not a hair of your head shall perish. 19 In your patience ye shall win your souls.
17 An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great power.
18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
22 and whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.
3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and guard you from the evil one.
17 There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.
18 His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.
31 The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but victory is of the LORD,
8 The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever; forsake not the works of thine own hands.
19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: 20 but if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
6 Righteousness guardeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.
2 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my high tower; I shall not be greatly moved.
3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield about me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
18 Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.
9 The LORD also will be a high tower for the oppressed, a high tower in times of trouble;
22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
11 For the LORD God is a sun and a shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
8 and I have been with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee; and I will make thee a name, like unto the name of the great ones that are in the earth.
1 Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
11 Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
1 Blessed be the LORD my rock, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:
2 My lovingkindness, and my fortress, my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.
10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them from the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil one.
10 O ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
18 We know that whosoever is begotten of God sinneth not; but he that was begotten of God keepeth him, and the evil one toucheth him not.
8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
16 Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.
6 So that with good courage we say, The Lord is my helper; I will not fear: What shall man do unto me?
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
11 And I am no more in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we are. 12 While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me: and I guarded them, and not one of them perished, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
1 Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice, let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
12 For thou wilt bless the righteous; O LORD, thou wilt compass him with favour as with a shield.
10 It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who rescueth David his servant from the hurtful sword.
14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
11 But the king shall rejoice in God: every one that sweareth by him shall glory; for the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
8 Will a man rob God? yet ye rob me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9 Ye are cursed with the curse; for ye rob me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring ye the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
27 The eternal God is thy dwelling place, And underneath are the everlasting arms: And he thrust out the enemy from before thee, And said, Destroy.
1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
6 For the LORD giveth wisdom; out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding: 7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the upright, he is a shield to them that walk in integrity; 8 That he may guard the paths of judgment, and preserve the way of his saints.
7 For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the lovingkindness of the Most High he shall not be moved.
8 Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
9 Thou shalt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thine anger. The LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried; he is a shield unto all them that trust in him.
25 The righteous eateth to the satisfying of his soul: but the belly of the wicked shall want.
4 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: cast up a highway for him that rideth through the deserts; his name is JAH; and exult ye before him.
5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: from whence shall my help come?
2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD shall keep thee from all evil; he shall keep thy soul.
8 The LORD shall keep thy going out and thy coming in, from this time forth and for evermore.
22 The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be condemned.
5 Every word of God is tried: he is a shield unto them that trust in him.
17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness which is of me, saith the LORD.
1 Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.

5 As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts protect Jerusalem; he will protect and deliver it, he will pass over and preserve it.
17 learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
32 For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?
7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that put their trust in him.
8 In peace will I both lay me down and sleep: for thou, LORD, alone makest me dwell in safety.
12 Of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; He covereth him all the day long, And he dwelleth between his shoulders.
4 He shall cover thee with his pinions, and under his wings shalt thou take refuge: his truth is a shield and a buckler.
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil: which some reaching after have been led astray from the faith, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
8 Be not therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land, and follow after faithfulness.
1 LORD, how are mine adversaries increased! many are they that rise up against me.

5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustaineth me.
6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of the people, that have set themselves against me round about.
19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily beareth our burden, even the God who is our salvation. Selah
26 And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in its season; there shall be showers of blessing.
1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

14 And this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us: 15 and if we know that he heareth us whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging their bread.
19 And my God shall fulfill every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

9 The LORD preserveth the strangers; he upholdeth the fatherless and widow; but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.
26 For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.

7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
9 He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
12 A prudent man seeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and suffer for it.
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.
26 In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.
20 Our soul hath waited for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.
16 But I will sing of thy strength; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my high tower, and a refuge in the day of my distress.
25 For I have satiated the weary soul, and every sorrowful soul have I replenished.
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and not one of them shall fall on the ground without your Father: 30 but the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Fear not therefore; ye are of more value than many sparrows.
9 For thou, O LORD, art my refuge! thou hast made the Most High thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent.
20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in thee.
21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait on thee.
1 The LORD answer thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob set thee up on high;
2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;
6 so then let us not sleep, as do the rest, but let us watch and be sober.
11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of the flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
6 The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he saved me.
7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.
8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
9 I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.
10 I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
12 For wisdom is a defence, even as money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom preserveth the life of him that hath it.
13 I can do all things in him that strengtheneth me.
114 Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.
22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

14 Even so did the Lord ordain that they which proclaim the gospel should live of the gospel.
6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be affrighted at them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
4 and even to old age I am he, and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; yea, I will carry, and will deliver.

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
