1 Und es geschah, als Jesus alle diese Reden vollendet hatte, sprach er zu seinen Jüngern:

2 Ihr wisset, dass nach zwei Tagen das Passah ist, und der Sohn des Menschen wird überliefert, um gekreuzigt zu werden.

3 Dann versammelten sich die Hohenpriester und die Ältesten des Volkes in den Hof des Hohenpriesters, der Kajaphas hiess,

4 und ratschlagten miteinander, auf dass sie Jesus mit List griffen und töteten.

5 Sie sagten aber: Nicht an dem Feste, auf dass nicht ein Aufruhr unter dem Volk entstehe.

6 Als aber Jesus in Bethanien war, im Hause Simons, des Aussätzigen,

7 kam ein Weib zu ihm, die ein Alabasterfläschchen mit sehr kostbarer Salbe hatte, und goss es auf sein Haupt, als er zu Tische lag.

8 Als aber die Jünger es sahen, wurden sie unwillig und sprachen: Wozu diese Verschwendung?

9 Denn dieses hätte um vieles verkauft und den Armen gegeben werden können.

10 Als aber Jesus es erkannte, sprach er zu ihnen: Was machet ihr dem Weibe Mühe? Denn sie hat ein gutes Werk an mir getan;

11 denn die Armen habt ihr allezeit bei euch, mich aber habt ihr nicht allezeit.

12 Denn indem sie diese Salbe über meinen Leib geschüttet hat, hat sie es zu meinem Begräbnis getan.

13 Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Wo irgend dieses Evangelium gepredigt werden wird in der ganzen Welt, wird auch von dem geredet werden, was diese getan hat, zu ihrem Gedächtnis.

14 Dann ging einer von den Zwölfen, der Judas Iskariot genannt war, zu den Hohenpriestern und sprach:

15 Was wollt ihr mir geben, und ich werde ihn euch überliefern? Sie aber stellten ihm dreissig Silberlinge fest.

16 Und von da an suchte er Gelegenheit, auf dass er ihn überliefere.

17 An dem ersten Tage der ungesäuerten Brote aber traten die Jünger zu Jesu und sprachen: Wo willst du, dass wir dir bereiten, das Passah zu essen?

18 Er aber sprach: Gehet in die Stadt zu dem und dem und sprechet zu ihm: Der Lehrer sagt: Meine Zeit ist nahe; bei dir halte ich das Passah mit meinen Jüngern.

19 Und die Jünger taten, wie Jesus ihnen befohlen hatte, und bereiteten das Passah.

20 Als es aber Abend geworden war, legte er sich mit den Zwölfen zu Tische.

21 Und während sie assen, sprach er: Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Einer von euch wird mich überliefern.

22 Und sie wurden sehr betrübt und fingen an, ein jeder von ihnen zu ihm zu sagen:

23 Ich bin es doch nicht, Herr? Er aber antwortete und sprach: Der mit mir die Hand in die Schüssel eintaucht, dieser wird mich überliefern.

24 Der Sohn des Menschen geht zwar dahin, wie über ihn geschrieben steht; wehe aber jenem Menschen, durch welchen der Sohn des Menschen überliefert wird! Es wäre jenem Menschen gut, wenn er nicht geboren wäre.

25 Judas aber, der ihn überlieferte, antwortete und sprach: Ich bin es doch nicht, Rabbi? Er spricht zu ihm: Du hast es gesagt.

26 Während sie aber assen, nahm Jesus Brot, segnete, brach und gab es den Jüngern und sprach: Nehmet, esset; dieses ist mein Leib.

27 Und er nahm den Kelch und dankte und gab ihnen denselben und sprach: Trinket alle daraus.

28 Denn dieses ist mein Blut, das des neuen Bundes, welches für viele vergossen wird zur Vergebung der Sünden.

1 And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these words, he said unto his disciples, 2 Ye know that after two days the passover cometh, and the Son of man is delivered up to be crucified. 3 Then were gathered together the chief priests, and the elders of the people, unto the court of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas; 4 and they took counsel together that they might take Jesus by subtlety, and kill him. 5 But they said, Not during the feast, lest a tumult arise among the people.

6 Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, 7 there came unto him a woman having an alabaster cruse of exceeding precious ointment, and she poured it upon his head, as he sat at meat. 8 But when the disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste? 9 For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor. 10 But Jesus perceiving it said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me. 11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. 12 For in that she poured this ointment upon my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. 13 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, that also which this woman hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

14 Then one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, 15 and said, What are ye willing to give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they weighed unto him thirty pieces of silver. 16 And from that time he sought opportunity to deliver him unto them.

17 Now on the first day of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying, Where wilt thou that we make ready for thee to eat the passover? 18 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Teacher saith, My time is at hand; I keep the passover at thy house with my disciples. 19 And the disciples did as Jesus appointed them; and they made ready the passover.

20 Now when even was come, he was sitting at meat with the twelve disciples; 21 and as they were eating, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. 22 And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began to say unto him every one, Is it I, Lord? 23 And he answered and said, He that dipped his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me. 24 The Son of man goeth, even as it is written of him: but woe unto that man through whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had not been born. 25 And Judas, who betrayed him, answered and said, Is it I, Rabbi? He saith unto him, Thou hast said.

26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it; and he gave to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. 27 And he took a cup, and gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28 for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many unto remission of sins.
