11 For I knowe the thoughtes, that I haue thought towards you, saith the Lord, euen the thoughtes of peace, and not of trouble, to giue you an ende, and your hope.
7 Then came they to Mysia, and sought to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.
1 Wherefore, let vs also, seeing that we are compassed with so great a cloude of witnesses, cast away euery thing that presseth downe, and the sinne that hangeth so fast on: let vs runne with patience the race that is set before vs,
31 Whether therefore ye eate, or drinke, or whatsoeuer ye doe, doe all to the glory of God.
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and leane not vnto thine owne wisdome. 6 In all thy wayes acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy wayes.
1 There were also in the Church that was at Antiochia, certaine Prophets and teachers, as Barnabas, and Simeon called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manahen (which had bin brought vp with Herod the Tetrarche) and Saul. 2 Nowe as they ministred to the Lord, and fasted, the holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul, for the worke whereunto I haue called them. 3 Then fasted they and prayed, and layde their hands on them, and let them goe.
14 And this is that assurance, that we haue in him, that if we aske any thing according to his will, he heareth vs.
5 If any of you lacke wisedome, let him aske of God, which giueth to all men liberally, and reprocheth no man, and it shalbe giuen him.
5 In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Salomon in a dreame by night: and God sayd, Aske what I shall giue thee. 6 And Salomon sayd, Thou hast shewed vnto thy seruant Dauid my father great mercie, when hee walked before thee in trueth, and in righteousnesse, and in vprightnes of heart with thee: and thou hast kept for him this great mercie, and hast giuen him a sonne, to sit on his throne, as appeareth this day. 7 And now, O Lord my God, thou hast made thy seruant King in steade of Dauid my father: and I am but a yong childe, and know not howe to go out and in. 8 And thy seruant is in the mids of thy people, which thou hast chosen, euen a great people which cannot be told nor nobred for multitude. 9 Giue therefore vnto thy seruant an vnderstanding heart, to iudge thy people, that I may discerne betweene good and bad: for who is able to iudge this thy mightie people? 10 And this pleased the Lord well, that Salomon had desired this thing. 11 And God sayde vnto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thy selfe long life, neyther hast asked riches for thy selfe, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies, but hast asked for thy selfe vnderstanding to heare iudgement, 12 Beholde, I haue done according to thy wordes: lo, I haue giuen thee a wise and an vnderstanding heart, so that there hath bene none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall arise the like vnto thee.
16 For the whole Scripture is giuen by inspiration of God, and is profitable to teache, to conuince, to correct, and to instruct in righteousnesse,
14 Where no counsell is, the people fall: but where many counsellers are, there is health.
33 The lot is cast into the lap: but the whole disposition thereof is of the Lord.
6 In all thy wayes acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy wayes.
9 Then said his wife vnto him, Doest thou continue yet in thine vprightnes? Blaspheme God, and dye. 10 But he said vnto her, Thou speakest like a foolish woman: what? shall we receiue good at the hande of God, and not receiue euill? In all this did not Iob sinne with his lippes.
9 If we acknowledge our sinnes, he is faithfull and iust, to forgiue vs our sinnes, and to clense vs from all vnrighteousnes.
1 For the desire thereof hee will separate himselfe to seeke it, and occupie himselfe in all wisdome. 2 A foole hath no delite in vnderstanding: but that his heart may be discouered. 3 When the wicked commeth, then commeth contempt, and with the vile man reproch. 4 The words of a mans mouth are like deepe waters, and the welspring of wisdome is like a flowing riuer. 5 It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to cause ye righteous to fall in iudgement. 6 A fooles lips come with strife, and his mouth calleth for stripes. 7 A fooles mouth is his owne destruction, and his lips are a snare for his soule. 8 The wordes of a tale bearer are as flatterings, and they goe downe into the bowels of the belly. 9 He also that is slouthfull in his worke, is euen the brother of him that is a great waster. 10 The Name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth vnto it, and is exalted. 11 The rich mans riches are his strong citie: and as an hie wall in his imagination. 12 Before destruction the heart of a man is hautie, and before glory goeth lowlines. 13 He that answereth a matter before hee heare it, it is folly and shame vnto him. 14 The spirit of a man will susteine his infirmitie: but a wounded spirit who can beare it?
17 That the man of God may be absolute, being made perfect vnto all good workes.
