1 A song of degrees. Blessed is euery one that feareth the Lord and walketh in his wayes. 2 When thou eatest the labours of thine hands, thou shalt be blessed, and it shall be well with thee. 3 Thy wife shalbe as the fruitfull vine on the sides of thine house, and thy children like the oliue plantes round about thy table. 4 Lo, surely thus shall the man be blessed, that feareth the Lord.
6 And these wordes which I commaund thee this day, shalbe in thine heart. 7 And thou shalt rehearse them continually vnto thy children, and shalt talke of them when thou tariest in thine house, and as thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest downe, and when thou risest vp:
28 God giue thee therefore of the dewe of heauen, and the fatnesse of the earth, and plentie of wheate and wine. 29 Let people bee thy seruantes, and nations bowe vnto thee: be Lord ouer thy brethren, and let thy mothers children honour thee. cursed be he that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee.
28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, Bring forth fruite and multiplie, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and rule ouer the fish of the sea, and ouer the foule of the heauen, and ouer euery beast that moueth vpon the earth.
24 He that spareth his rodde, hateth his sonne: but he that loueth him, chasteneth him betime.
4 But if any widowe haue children or nephewes, let them learne first to shewe godlinesse towarde their owne house, and to recompense their kinred: for that is an honest thing and acceptable before God.
6 Teache a childe in the trade of his way, and when he is olde, he shall not depart from it.
25 I haue beene yong, and am olde: yet I sawe neuer the righteous forsaken, nor his seede begging bread. 26 But hee is euer mercifull and lendeth, and his seede enioyeth the blessing.
3 Beholde, children are the inheritance of the Lord, and the fruite of the wombe his rewarde. 4 As are the arrowes in the hand of ye strong man: so are the children of youth. 5 Blessed is the man, that hath his quiuer full of them: for they shall not be ashamed, when they speake with their enemies in the gate.
7 He that walketh in his integritie, is iust: and blessed shall his children be after him.
38 And they shall be my people, and I will be their God. 39 And I wil giue them one heart and one way that they may feare me for euer for ye wealth of them, and of their children after them.
6 Childres children are the crowne of the elders: and the glory of ye children are their fathers.
5 Before I formed thee in the wombe, I knewe thee, and before thou camest out of the wombe, I sanctified thee, and ordeined thee to be a Prophet vnto the nations.
21 A woman when she traueileth, hath sorowe, because her houre is come: but assoone as she is deliuered of the childe, she remembreth no more the anguish, for ioy that a man is borne into the world.
52 And Iesus increased in wisedome, and stature, and in fauour with God and men.
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. 2 Honour thy father and mother (which is the first commandement with promise) 3 That it may be well with thee, and that thou mayst liue long on earth.
14 But when Iesus sawe it, he was displeased, and said to them, Suffer the litle children to come vnto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdome of God.
7 If ye endure chastening, God offereth him selfe vnto you as vnto sonnes: for what sonne is it whom the father chasteneth not? 8 If therefore ye be without correction, whereof al are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sonnes.
15 Foolishnesse is bounde in the heart of a childe: but the rodde of correction shall driue it away from him.
1 Heare, O ye children, the instruction of a father, and giue eare to learne vnderstanding.
4 Blessed shalbe the fruite of thy body, and ye fruite of thy ground, and the fruite of thy cattel, the increase of thy kine, and ye flocks of thy sheepe.
3 For I will powre water vpon the thirstie, and floods vpon the drie grounde: I will powre my Spirit vpon thy seede, and my blessing vpon thy buddes. 4 And they shall grow as among the grasse, and as the willowes by the riuers of waters.
13 And all thy children shalbe taught of the Lord, and much peace shalbe to thy children.
11 If ye then, which are euill, can giue to your children good giftes, howe much more shall your Father which is in heauen, giue good thinges to them that aske him?
13 As a father hath compassion on his children, so hath the Lord compassion on them that feare him.
1 Behold, what loue the Father hath giuen to vs, that we should be called the sonnes of God: for this cause this world knoweth you not, because it knoweth not him.
24 The Lord blesse thee, and keepe thee, 25 The Lord make his face shine vpon thee, and be merciful vnto thee, 26 The Lord lift vp his coutenance vpon thee, and giue thee peace.
15 The rodde and correction giue wisdome: but a childe set a libertie, maketh his mother ashamed.
13 For thou hast possessed my reines: thou hast couered me in my mothers wombe. 14 I will praise thee, for I am fearefully and wonderously made: marueilous are thy workes, and my soule knoweth it well. 15 My bones are not hid from thee, though I was made in a secret place, and facioned beneath in the earth. 16 Thine eyes did see me, when I was without forme: for in thy booke were all things written, which in continuance were facioned, when there was none of them before.
12 That our sonnes may be as the plantes growing vp in their youth, and our daughters as the corner stones, grauen after the similitude of a palace:
21 Fathers, prouoke not your children to anger, least they be discouraged.
13 Withhold not correction from the childe: if thou smite him with the rodde, he shall not die.
39 Moreouer, your children, which ye sayd should be a praye, and your sonnes, which in that day had no knowledge betweene good and euill, they shall go in thither, and vnto them wil I giue it, and they shall possesse it.
1 THE PARABLE OF SALOMON. A wise sonne maketh a glad father: but a foolish sonne is an heauines to his mother.
14 Thou shalt be blessed aboue all people: there shall be neither male nor female barren among you, nor among your cattell.
4 And ye, fathers, prouoke not your children to wrath: but bring them vp in instruction and information of the Lord.
12 Honour thy father and thy mother, that thy dayes may be prolonged vpon the land, which the Lord thy God giueth thee.
4 Wee will not hide them from their children but to the generation to come we wil shewe the praises of the Lord his power also, and his wonderful woorkes that he hath done:
20 Children, obey your parents in all thing for that is well pleasing vnto the Lord.
2 His seede shall be mightie vpon earth: the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.
10 I was cast vpon thee, euen from ye wombe: thou art my God from my mothers belly.
