26 For what shall it profite a man though he should winne the whole worlde, if hee lose his owne soule? or what shall a man giue for recompence of his soule?
18 While we looke not on the thinges which are seene, but on the things which are not seene: for the things which are seene, are temporall: but the things which are not seene, are eternall.
11 The rich mans riches are his strong citie: and as an hie wall in his imagination.
9 Likewise also the women, that they aray themselues in comely apparell, with shamefastnes and modestie, not with broyded heare, or gold, or pearles, or costly apparell, 10 But (as becommeth women that professe the feare of God) with good workes.
6 But godlinesse is great gaine, if a man be content with that he hath.
7 For we brought nothing into the world, and it is certaine, that we can carie nothing out. 8 Therefore when wee haue foode and raiment, let vs therewith be content.
36 For what shall it profite a man, though he should winne the whole world, if he lose his soule?
16 Better is a litle with the feare of the Lord, then great treasure, and trouble therewith.
10 When goods increase, they are increased that eate them: and what good commeth to the owners thereof, but the beholding thereof with their eyes?
9 For they that will be rich, fall into tentation and snares, and into many foolish and noysome lustes, which drowne men in perdition and destruction.
15 Wherefore he said vnto them, Take heede, and beware of couetousnesse: for though a man haue abundance, yet his life standeth not in his riches.
17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high minded, and that they trust not in vncertaine riches, but in the liuing God, (which giueth vs aboundantly, all things to enioy)
1 A good name is to be chosen aboue great riches, and louing fauour is aboue siluer and aboue golde.
8 Remooue farre from me vanitie and lyes: giue me not pouertie, nor riches: feede me with foode conuenient for me,
4 Riches auaile not in the day of wrath: but righteousnes deliuereth from death.
26 He coueteth euermore greedily, but the righteous giueth and spareth not.
16 Howe much better is it to get wisedome then golde? and to get vnderstanding, is more to be desired then siluer.
32 And the multitude of them that beleeued, were of one heart, and of one soule: neither any of them said, that any thing of that which he possessed, was his owne, but they had all thinges common.
19 Lay not vp treasures for your selues vpon the earth, where the mothe and canker corrupt, and where theeues digge through and steale. 20 But lay vp treasures for your selues in heauen, where neither the mothe nor canker corrupteth, and where theeues neither digge through, nor steale.
5 Mortifie therefore your members which are on the earth, fornication, vncleannes, the inordinate affection, euill concupiscence, and couetousnes which is idolatrie.
5 Let your conuersation be without couetousnesse, and be content with those things that ye haue, for he hath said,
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
5 Wilt thou cast thine eyes vpon it, which is nothing? for riches taketh her to her wings, as an eagle, and flyeth into the heauen.
21 Iesus sayd vnto him, If thou wilt be perfite, go, sell that thou hast, and giue it to the poore, and thou shalt haue treasure in heauen, and come, and follow me.
15 And this also is an euill sickenes that in all pointes as he came, so shall he goe, and what profit hath he that he hath traueiled for the winde?
