Pais e Filhos

8 My sonne, heare thy fathers instruction, and forsake not thy mothers teaching. 9 For they shalbe a comely ornament vnto thine head, and as chaines for thy necke.

4 And ye, fathers, prouoke not your children to wrath: but bring them vp in instruction and information of the Lord.

26 He that destroyeth his father, or chaseth away his mother, is a lewde and shamefull childe.

24 The father of the righteous shall greatly reioyce, and hee that begetteth a wise childe, shall haue ioy of him.

6 Teache a childe in the trade of his way, and when he is olde, he shall not depart from it.

22 Obey thy father that hath begotten thee, and despise not thy mother when she is olde.

15 And if it seeme euill vnto you to serue the Lord, choose you this day whome yee will serue, whether the gods which your fathers serued (that were beyond the flood) or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwel: but I and mine house will serue the Lord.

16 The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children put to death for the fathers, but euery man shalbe put to death for his owne sinne.

6 Childres children are the crowne of the elders: and the glory of ye children are their fathers.

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. 2 Honour thy father and mother (which is the first commandement with promise) 3 That it may be well with thee, and that thou mayst liue long on earth.

20 He that curseth his father or his mother, his light shalbe put out in obscure darkenes.

12 Honour thy father and thy mother, that thy dayes may be prolonged vpon the land, which the Lord thy God giueth thee.

15 The rodde and correction giue wisdome: but a childe set a libertie, maketh his mother ashamed.

6 And these wordes which I commaund thee this day, shalbe in thine heart. 7 And thou shalt rehearse them continually vnto thy children, and shalt talke of them when thou tariest in thine house, and as thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest downe, and when thou risest vp:

11 If a sonne shall aske bread of any of you that is a father, will he giue him a stone? or if hee aske a fish, will he for a fish giue him a serpent? 12 Or if hee aske an egge, will hee giue him a scorpion? 13 If yee then which are euill, can giue good giftes vnto your children, howe much more shall your heauenly Father giue the holy Ghost to them, that desire him?

8 If there bee any that prouideth not for his owne, and namely for them of his housholde, hee denieth the faith, and is worse then an infidell.

21 Fathers, prouoke not your children to anger, least they be discouraged.

3 Beholde, children are the inheritance of the Lord, and the fruite of the wombe his rewarde. 4 As are the arrowes in the hand of ye strong man: so are the children of youth. 5 Blessed is the man, that hath his quiuer full of them: for they shall not be ashamed, when they speake with their enemies in the gate.

24 He that spareth his rodde, hateth his sonne: but he that loueth him, chasteneth him betime.

24 Therefore shall man leaue his father and his mother, and shall cleaue to his wife, and they shall be one flesh.

20 Children, obey your parents in all thing for that is well pleasing vnto the Lord.

7 If ye endure chastening, God offereth him selfe vnto you as vnto sonnes: for what sonne is it whom the father chasteneth not?

4 But if any widowe haue children or nephewes, let them learne first to shewe godlinesse towarde their owne house, and to recompense their kinred: for that is an honest thing and acceptable before God.

1 THE PARABLE OF SALOMON. A wise sonne maketh a glad father: but a foolish sonne is an heauines to his mother.
