20 who disobeyed long ago in the days of Noah, when God waited patiently while the ark was being built. In it a few, that is, eight persons, were saved by water.
21 Baptism, which is symbolized by that water, now saves you also, not by removing dirt from the body, but by asking God for a clear conscience based on the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
22 who has gone to heaven and is at the right hand of God, where angels, authorities, and powers have been made subject to him.
37 For just as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be when the Son of Man comes.
38 In those days before the flood, peoplewere eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage right up to the day when Noah went into the ark.
39 They were unaware of what was happeninguntil the flood came and swept all of them away. That's how it will be when the Son of Man comes.
40 At that time two people will be in the field. One will be taken, and the other will be left behind.
41 Two women will be grinding grain at the mill. One will be taken, and the other will be left behind.
7 By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, reverently prepared an ark to save his family, and by it he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.
