12 However, to all who received him, to those believing in his name, he gave authority to become God's children,
19 For the creation is eagerly waiting for God to reveal his children,
20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord.
22 Flee from youthful passions. Instead, pursue righteousness, faithfulness, love, and peace together with those who call on the Lord with a pure heart.
26 For all of you are God's children through faith in Christ Jesus.
27 Indeed, all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
2 Dear friends, we are now God's children, but what we will be like has not been revealed yet. We know that when Christ is revealed we will be like him, because we will see him as he is.
3 And everyone who has this hope based on him keeps himself pure, just as he is pure.
14 Jesus, however, said,"Let the little children come to me, and stop keeping them away. For the kingdom of heaven belongs to people like these."
10 "See to it that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you, their angels in heaven always see the face ofmy Father in heaven.
2 What you have heard from me through many witnesses entrust to faithful people who will be able to teach others as well.
11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, for those who have been trained by it, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace.
14 Jesus, however, said,"Let the little children come to me, and stop keeping them away. For the kingdom of heaven belongs to people like these."
4 Fathers, do not make your children angry, but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
4 Fathers, do not make your children angry, but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
9 "How blessed are those who make peace, for it is they who will be called God's children!
52 Meanwhile, Jesus kept on growing in wisdom and maturity, and in favor with God and his fellow man.
4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are living according to the truth.
12 I am writing to you, little children, because your sins have been forgivenon account of his name.
31 They answered, "Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you and your family will be saved."
4 He must manage his own family well and have children who are submissive and respectful in every way.
13 Some people were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
14 When Jesus saw this, he became furious and told them,"Let the little children come to me, and stop keeping them away. For the kingdom of God belongs to people like these.
1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and said, "Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"
2 Calling a little child forward, he had him stand among them.
3 Then he said,"Truly I tell you, unless you changeand become like little children, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Therefore, whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven,
5 You have forgotten the encouragement that is addressed to you as sons: "My son, do not think lightly of the Lord's disciplineor give up when you are corrected by him.
6 For the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he punishes every son he accepts."
7 What you endure is for the sake of discipline. God is treating you as sons. Is there a son whom his father does not discipline?
8 Now if you are without any discipline, in which all sons share, then you are illegitimate and not his sons.
9 Furthermore, we had earthly fathers who used to discipline us, and we respected them for it. We should even more submit to the Father of our spirits and live, shouldn't we?
21 Little children, guard yourselves from idols.
25 At that time Jesus said,"I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from wise and intelligent people and have revealed them to infants.
16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.
3 Then he said,"Truly I tell you, unless you changeand become like little children, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Therefore, whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven,
5 and whoever receives a little child like this in my name receives me."
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is the right thing to do.
2 "Honor your father and mother." This is a very important commandment with a promise:
3 "So that it may go well for you, and that you may have a long life on the earth."
8 If anyone does not take care of his own relatives, especially his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
21 Fathers, do not make your children resentful, lest they become discouraged.
15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter,"Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?"He said to him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you."Jesus told him,"Feed my lambs."
4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are living according to the truth.
1 See what kind of love the Father has given us in letting us be called God's children! Yet that is what we are. For this reason the world does not recognize us, because it did not recognize him either.
1 So be imitators of God, as his dear children.
36 Then he took a little child and had him stand among them. He took him in his arms and said to them,
37 "Whoever welcomes a child like this in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes not me but the one who sent me."
14 For all who are led by God's Spirit are God's children.
15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery that leads you into fear again. Instead, you have received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba! Father!"
