14 Therefore, since the children have flesh and blood, he himself also shared the same things, so that by his death he might destroy the one who has the power of death (that is, the devil)
15 and might free those who were slaves all their lives because they were terrified by death.
8 But God demonstrates his love for us by the fact that Christ died for us while we were still sinners.
38 Then he said to them,"My soul is deeply grieved, even to the point of death. Wait here and stay awake with me."
21 This is, in fact, what you were called to do, because Christ also suffered for you and left an example for you to follow in his steps.
22 "He never committed a sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth."
23 When he was insulted, he did not retaliate. When he suffered, he did not threaten but made it his habit to commit the matter to the one who judges fairly.
24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to those sins and live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
8 And lived in all humility,Death on a cross obeying.
17 This is why the Father loves me, because I lay down my life in order to take it back again.
18 No one is taking it from me; I lay it down of my own free will. I have the authority to lay it down, and I have the authority to take it back again. This is a command that I have received from my Father."

55 Meanwhile, the high priests and the whole Council were looking for some testimony against Jesus in order to have him put to death, but they couldn't find any.
45 Foreven the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many people."
