13 But we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, about those who have died, so that you may not grieve like other people who have no hope.
18 I am not going to forsake you like orphans. I will come back to you.
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed to us.
4 who comforts us in all our suffering, so that we may be able to comfort others in all their suffering, since we ourselves are being comforted by God.
7 But whatever things were assets to me, these I now consider a loss for the sake of Christ.
8 What is more, I continue to consider all these things as a loss for the sake of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. It is because of him that I have experienced the loss of all those things. Indeed, I consider them rubbish in order to gain Christ
36 For you need endurance, so that after you have done God's will you can receive what he has promised.
7 so that the genuineness of your faith, which is more valuable than gold that perishes when it is tested by fire, may result in praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
