1 IL Signore parlò ancora a Mosè e ad Aaronne, dicendo:
2 Levate la somma de’ figliuoli di Chehat, d’infra i figliuoli di Levi, per le lor nazioni e famiglie paterne;
3 dall’età di trent’anni in su, fino a cinquanta; cioè: tutti quelli che possono entrare in ufficio, per fare l’opera nel Tabernacolo della convenenza.
4 Questo è il servizio de’ figliuoli di Chehat, nel Tabernacolo della convenenza, nelle cose santissime.
5 Quando il campo si moverà, vengano Aaronne ed i suoi figliuoli, e pongan giù la Cortina che si tende davanti all’Arca, e copre l’Arca della Testimonianza.
6 Poi mettanvi sopra una coverta di pelli di tasso, e stendano disopra un drappo tutto di violato; e mettano le stanghe all’Arca.
7 Poi stendano sopra la Tavola di presenza un drappo di violato; e mettano sopra essa i piattelli, e le scodelle, e le coppe, e i nappi da fare gli spargimenti; sia parimente sopra essa il pane continuo.
8 E stendano sopra quelle cose un drappo di scarlatto, e coprano quello con una coverta di pelli di tasso; poi mettano le stanghe alla Tavola.
9 Poi prendano un drappo di violato, e copranne il Candelliere della lumiera, e le sue lampane, e i suoi smoccalatoi, e i suoi catinelli, e tutti i vaselli dell’olio di esso, co’ quali si fanno i suoi servigi.
10 Poi mettano il Candelliere, con tutti i suoi strumenti, in una coverta di pelli di tasso; e mettanlo sopra un par di stanghe.
11 Poi stendano un drappo di violato sopra l’Altare d’oro; e copranlo con una coverta di pelli di tasso; poi mettano le stanghe all’Altare.
12 Poi prendano tutti gli arredi del servigio, co’ quali si fa il servigio nel Santuario, e mettanli dentro un drappo di violato, e copranli con una coverta di pelli di tasso; e mettanli sopra un par di stanghe.
13 Poi tolgano le ceneri dall’Altare, e stendano sopra esso un drappo di scarlatto.
14 E mettano sopra esso tutti i suoi strumenti, co’ quali si fa il servigio sopra esso, le cazze, le forcelle, le palette, i bacini, e tutti gli altri strumenti dell’Altare; e stendanvi sopra una coverta di pelli di tasso; poi mettano le stanghe all’Altare.
15 E, dopo che Aaronne e i suoi figliuoli avranno finito di coprire il Santuario, e tutti gli arredi di esso, quando il campo si moverà; vengano i figliuoli di Chehat, per portar quelle cose; e non tocchino il Santuario, che non muoiano. Queste son le cose che i figliuoli di Chehat devono portare, del Tabernacolo della convenenza.
16 E abbia Eleazaro, figliuolo del Sacerdote Aaronne, il carico dell’olio della lumiera, e del profumo aromatico, e dell’offerta continua, e dell’olio dell’Unzione; oltre alla sopraintendenza sopra tutto il Tabernacolo, e tutto ciò ch’è in esso, per lo Santuario, e per li suoi arredi.
17 Poi il Signore parlò a Mosè e ad Aaronne, dicendo:
18 Non fate sì che la tribù delle famiglie de’ Chehatiti sia sterminata d’infra i Leviti.
19 Anzi fate loro questo, acciocchè vivano, e non muoiano, quando si accosteranno alle cose santissime: Vengano Aaronne e i suoi figliuoli, e disponganli ciascuno al suo servigio, e a ciò ch’egli ha da portare.
20 Ma non vengano per riguardare, quando si copriranno le cose sante, che non muoiano
21 Il Signore parlò ancora a Mosè, dicendo:
22 Leva parimente la somma dei figliuoli di Gherson, per le lor famiglie paterne e nazioni.
23 Annoverali, dall’età di trent’anni in su, fino a cinquanta, cioè: tutti quelli che possono entrare in esercizio di ufficio, per servire nel Tabernacolo della convenenza.
24 Questo è il servigio delle famiglie dei Ghersoniti, in ministrare e in portare:
25 Portino i teli della Tenda, e il Tabernacolo della convenenza; la sua Coverta, e la Coverta di pelli di tasso che è disopra, e il Tappeto dell’entrata del Tabernacolo della convenenza;
26 e le cortine del Cortile, e il Tappeto dell’entrata della porta del Cortile, il quale è intorno al Tabernacolo e all’Altare; e le corde di quelle, e tutti gli arredi per lor servigio. E servano essi in tutto ciò che si deve fare intorno a quelle cose.
27 Tutto il servigio de’ figliuoli di Gherson, in tutto ciò che devono portare, e in tutti i servigi che devono fare, sia secondo l’ordine di Aaronne e de’ suoi figliuoli; e voi darete loro il carico di tutto ciò che dovranno portare.
28 Questo è il servigio delle famiglie de’ figliuoli di Gherson, nel Tabernacolo della convenenza; e la fazion loro sarà sotto la sopraintendenza d’Itamar, figliuolo del Sacerdote Aaronne.
29 Annovera eziandio i figliuoli di Merari, per le lor nazioni e famiglie paterne.
30 Annoverali, dall’età di trenta anni in su, fino a cinquanta, cioè: tutti quelli che possono entrare nel servigio del Tabernacolo della convenenza.
31 E questo sia ciò che devono portare per lor fazione, insieme con tutto il servigio che dovranno fare nel Tabernacolo della convenenza, cioè: le assi del Tabernacolo, e le sue sbarre e le sue colonne, e i suoi piedistalli.
32 E le colonne del Cortile d’intorno, e i lor piedistalli, e i lor piuoli, e le lor corde, insieme con tutti i loro arredi, per tutti i lor servigi; e consegnate loro per nome gli arredi che dovranno portare per lor fazione.
33 Questo è il servigio delle famiglie de’ figliuoli di Merari; oltre a tutto il servigio che hanno da fare nel Tabernacolo della convenenza, sotto la sopraintendenza di Itamar, figliuolo del Sacerdote Aaronne
34 Mosè adunque, ed Aaronne, e i principali della raunanza, annoverarono i figliuoli di Chehat, per le lor nazioni e famiglie paterne;
35 dall’età di trent’anni in su, fino a cinquanta, cioè: tutti quelli che potevano entrare in ufficio, per servire nel Tabernacolo della convenenza.
36 E gli annoverati d’infra loro, distinti per le lor nazioni, furono duemila settecencinquanta.
37 Questi sono gli annoverati delle nazioni de’ Chehatiti; che erano tutti quelli che servivano nel Tabernacolo della convenenza, i quali Mosè ed Aaronne annoverarono, per comandamento del Signore, dato per man di Mosè.
38 E gli annoverati d’infra i figliuoli di Gherson, distinti per le lor nazioni e famiglie paterne;
39 dall’età di trent’anni in su, fino a cinquanta; ch’erano tutti quelli che potevano entrare in ufficio, per servire nel Tabernacolo della convenenza;
40 gli annoverati, dico, d’infra loro, distinti per le lor nazioni e famiglie paterne, furono duemila seicentrenta.
41 Questi sono gli annoverati delle nazioni de’ figliuoli di Gherson; ch’erano tutti quelli che servivano nel Tabernacolo della convenenza; i quali Mosè ed Aaronne annoverarono, per comandamento del Signore.
42 E gli annoverati delle nazioni de’ figliuoli di Merari, distinti per le lor nazioni e famiglie paterne;
43 dall’età di trent’anni in su, fino a cinquanta, cioè: tutti quelli che potevano entrare in ufficio, per servire nel Tabernacolo della convenenza;
44 gli annoverati, dico, d’infra loro, distinti per le lor nazioni, furono tremila dugento.
45 Questi sono gli annoverati delle nazioni de’ figliuoli di Merari; i quali Mosè ed Aaronne annoverarono, per comandamento del Signore, dato per man di Mosè.
46 Tutti gli annoverati i quali Mosè, ed Aaronne, e i principali d’Israele, annoverarono, d’infra i Leviti, distinti per le lor nazioni e famiglie paterne;
47 dall’età di trent’anni in su, fino a cinquanta, cioè: tutti quelli che potevano entrare in servigio, così per servire, come per portare, nel Tabernacolo della convenenza;
48 gli annoverati, dico, d’infra loro, furono ottomila cinquecentottanta.
49 Essi gli annoverarono per comandamento del Signore, dato per man di Mosè, ciascuno secondo che dovea servire o portare; e gli annoverati da loro furono quelli che il Signore avea comandati a Mosè
1 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, and unto Aaron, saying,
2 `Take up the sum of the sons of Kohath from the midst of the sons of Levi, by their families, by the house of their fathers;
3 from a son of thirty years and upward, even till a son of fifty years, every one going in to the host, to do work in the tent of meeting.
4 `This [is] the service of the sons of Kohath in the tent of meeting, the holy of holies:
5 that Aaron and his sons have come in, in the journeying of the camp, and have taken down the vail of the hanging, and have covered with it the ark of the testimony;
6 and have put on it a covering of badger skin, and have spread a garment completely of blue above, and have placed its staves.
7 `And on the table of the presence they spread a garment of blue, and have put on it the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and the cups of the libation, and the bread of continuity is on it,
8 and they have spread over them a garment of scarlet, and have covered it with a covering of badger skin, and have placed its staves,
9 and have taken a garment of blue, and have covered the candlestick of the lamp, and its lights, and its snuffers, and its snuff-dishes, and all its oil vessels wherewith they minister to it;
10 and they have put it and all its vessels unto a covering of badger skin, and have put [it] on the bar.
11 `And on the golden altar they spread a garment of blue, and have covered it with a covering of badger skin, and have placed its staves;
12 and have taken all the vessels of ministry wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, and have put [them] unto a garment of blue, and have covered them with a covering of badger skin, and have put [them] on the bar,
13 and have removed the ashes of the altar, and have spread over it a garment of purple;
14 and have put on it all its vessels wherewith they minister about it, the censers, the hooks, and the shovels, and the bowls, all the vessels of the altar, and have spread on it a covering of badger skin, and have placed its staves:
15 `And Aaron hath finished -- his sons also -- covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, in the journeying of the camp, and afterwards do the sons of Kohath come in to bear [it], and they do not come unto the holy thing, that they have died; these [things are] the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tent of meeting.
16 `And the oversight of Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest, [is] the oil of the lamp, and the spice-perfume, and the present of continuity, and the anointing oil, the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that [is] in it, in the sanctuary, and in its vessels.`
17 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
18 `Ye do not cut off the tribe of the families of the Kohathite from the midst of the Levites;
19 but this do to them, and they have lived, and do not die in their drawing nigh the holy of holies: -- Aaron and his sons go in, and have set them, each man to his service, and unto his burden,
20 and they go not in to see when the holy thing is swallowed, that they have died.`
21 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
22 `Take up the sum of the sons of Gershon also by the house of their fathers, by their families;
23 from a son of thirty years and upward, till a son of fifty years thou dost number them, every one who is going in to serve the host, to do the service in the tent of meeting.
24 `This [is] the service of the families of the Gershonite, to serve -- and for burden,
25 and they have borne the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tent of meeting, its covering, and the covering of the badger [skin] which [is] on it above, and the vail at the opening of the tent of meeting,
26 and the hangings of the court, and the vail at the opening of the gate of the court which [is] by the tabernacle, and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the vessels of their service, and all that is made for them -- and they have served.
27 `By the command of Aaron and his sons is all the service of the sons of the Gershonite in all their burden, and in all their service; and ye have laid a charge on them concerning the charge of all their burden.
28 This [is] the service of the families of the sons of the Gershonite in the tent of meeting; and their charge [is] under the hand of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest.
29 `The sons of Merari, by their families, by the house of their fathers, thou dost number them;
30 from a son of thirty years and upward even unto a son of fifty years thou dost number them, every one who is going in to the host, to do the service of the tent of meeting.
31 `And this [is] the charge of their burden, of all their service in the tent of meeting; the boards of the tabernacle, and its bars, and its pillars, and its sockets,
32 and the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords, of all their vessels, and of all their service; and by name ye do number the vessels of the charge of their burden.
33 `This [is] the service of the families of the sons of Merari, for all their service, in the tent of meeting, by the hand of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest.`
34 And Moses numbereth -- Aaron also, and the princes of the company -- the sons of the Kohathite, by their families, and by the house of their fathers,
35 from a son of thirty years and upward even unto a son of fifty years, every one who is going in to the host, for service in the tent of meeting,
36 and their numbered ones, by their families, are two thousand seven hundred and fifty.
37 These [are] those numbered of the families of the Kohathite, every one who is serving in the tent of meeting, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, by the command of Jehovah, by the hand of Moses.
38 And those numbered of the sons of Gershon, by their families, and by the house of their fathers,
39 from a son of thirty years and upward even unto a son of fifty years, every one who is going in to the host, for service in the tent of meeting,
40 even their numbered ones, by their families, by the house of their fathers, are two thousand and six hundred and thirty.
41 These [are] those numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, every one who is serving in the tent of meeting, whom Moses and Aaron numbered by the command of Jehovah.
42 And those numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, by their families, by the house of their fathers,
43 from a son of thirty years and upward even unto a son of fifty years, every one who is going in to the host, for service in the tent of meeting,
44 even their numbered ones, by their families, are three thousand and two hundred.
45 These [are] those numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, by the command of Jehovah, by the hand of Moses.
46 All those numbered, whom Moses numbered -- Aaron also, and the princes of Israel -- of the Levites, by their families, and by the house of their fathers,
47 from a son of thirty years and upward even unto a son of fifty years, every one who is going in to do the work of the service, even the service of burden in the tent of meeting,
48 even their numbered ones are eight thousand and five hundred and eighty;
49 by the command of Jehovah hath [one] numbered them, by the hand of Moses, each man by his service, and by his burden, with his numbered ones, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.
