1 Salmo de’ figliuoli di Core, dato al capo de’ Musici. O SIGNORE, tu sei stato propizio alla tua terra; Tu hai ritratto Giacobbe di cattività.

2 Tu hai rimessa al tuo popolo la sua iniquità, Tu hai coperti tutti i lor peccati. Sela.

3 Tu hai acquetato tutto il tuo cruccio; Tu ti sei stolto dall’ardore della tua ira.

4 Ristoraci, o Dio della nostra salute, E fa’ cessar la tua indegnazione contro a noi.

5 Sarai tu in perpetuo adirato contro a noi? Farai tu durar l’ira tua per ogni età?

6 Non tornerai tu a darci la vita, Acciocchè il tuo popolo si rallegri in te?

7 O Signore, mostraci la tua benignità, E dacci la tua salute

8 Io ascolterò ciò che dirà il Signore Iddio; Certo egli parlerà di pace al suo popolo ed a’ suoi santi; E farà ch’essi non ritorneranno più a follia.

9 Certo, la sua salute è vicina a quelli che lo temono; La gloria abiterà nel nostro paese.

10 Benignità e verità s’incontreranno insieme; Giustizia e pace si baceranno.

11 Verità germoglierà dalla terra; E giustizia riguarderà dal cielo.

12 Il Signore eziandio darà il bene; E la nostra terra produrrà il suo frutto.

13 Egli farà camminar davanti a sè la giustizia, E la metterà nella via de’ suoi passi

1 To the Overseer. -- By sons of Korah. A Psalm. Thou hast accepted, O Jehovah, Thy land, Thou hast turned [to] the captivity of Jacob.

2 Thou hast borne away the iniquity of Thy people, Thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.

3 Thou hast gathered up all Thy wrath, Thou hast turned back from the fierceness of Thine anger.

4 Turn back [to] us, O God of our salvation, And make void Thine anger with us.

5 To the age art Thou angry against us? Dost Thou draw out Thine anger To generation and generation?

6 Dost Thou not turn back? Thou revivest us, And Thy people do rejoice in Thee.

7 Show us, O Jehovah, thy kindness, And Thy salvation Thou dost give to us.

8 I hear what God Jehovah speaketh, For He speaketh peace unto His people, And unto His saints, and they turn not back to folly.

9 Only, near to those fearing Him [is] His salvation, That honour may dwell in our land.

10 Kindness and truth have met, Righteousness and peace have kissed,

11 Truth from the earth springeth up, And righteousness from heaven looketh out,

12 Jehovah also giveth that which is good, And our land doth give its increase.

13 Righteousness before Him goeth, And maketh His footsteps for a way!
