2 Preach the word; be instant in season [and] out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom,
23 but we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock and unto the Gentiles foolishness;
24 but unto those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ [is] the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
35 Then Philip opened his mouth and began at the same scripture and preached unto him the gospel of Jesus.
12 For the word of God [is] alive and efficient and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
4 For the things that were written beforehand were written for our instruction that we, through patient [endurance] and through the comfort of the scriptures, might have hope.
7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of the heavens has come.
4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach if they have not been sent? as it is written, How beautiful [are] the feet of those that announce the gospel of peace, of those that announce the gospel of that which is good!
16 But not everyone hearkens unto the gospel. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our report?
17 So then faith [comes] by hearing, and [the] ear [to hear] by the word of God.
30 And Philip ran there to [him] and heard him read the prophet Isaiah and said, Dost thou understand what thou readest?
31 And he said, How can I, except someone should guide me? And he besought Philip to come up and sit with him.
32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter, and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth;
10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD and to do [it] and to teach in Israel [his] statutes and judgments.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all diligence and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
8 And the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah, saying,
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of the Christ; for it is [the] power of God [to give] saving health to every one that believes: to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
17 For in him is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel,
7 for there is not another; but there are some that trouble you and would pervert the gospel of the Christ.
8 But [even] if we, or an angel from heaven, were to preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be anathema.
9 As we said before, so do I say now again, If anyone preaches any other gospel unto you than what ye have received, let him be anathema.
21 For in the wisdom of God, since the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save those that believe.
10 For as the rain comes down, and the snow from the heavens, and does not return there, but waters the earth and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my Word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall be prospered in that for which I sent it.
17 Sanctify them in thy truth; thy word is [the] truth.
16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
17 that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.:
19 And the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, saying,
8 And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,
20 understanding this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy did not come in times past by the will of man, but the holy men of God spoke being inspired by the Holy Spirit.:
17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the stake of Christ should be made void.
39 Search the scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life; and they are those who testify of me.
12 Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, that we might know the things that God has given us.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but with doctrine of the Holy Spirit, jointly fitting spiritual things by spiritual [means].
14 But the natural man does not perceive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he understand [them] because they are spiritually discerned.
18 For I testify unto everyone that hears the words of the prophecy of this book, If anyone shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book;
19 and if anyone shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life and out of the holy city and [from] the things which are written in this book.
160 The beginning of thy word [is] truth, and every one of the judgments of thy righteousness is eternal.
9 BETH. With what shall a young man cleanse his way? when he shall keep thy word.
1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon me because the LORD has anointed me; he has sent me to preach good tidings unto those who are cast down; to bind up [the wounds] of the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to [those that are] bound;
2 to proclaim the year of the LORD's favour, and [the] day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
3 to order in Zion those that mourn, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
35 The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
25 but the word of the Lord endures for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.:
15 and that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto saving health by [the] faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
17 that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.:
15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that has nothing to be ashamed of, rightly dividing the word of truth.
1 The word of the LORD that went to Joel the son of Pethuel.
18 And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and, behold, I am with you always [even] unto the end of the age. Amen.:
2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
3 declaring openly and proposing that it behooved the Christ to have suffered and risen again from the dead and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is the Christ.
13 Until I come, occupy thyself reading, exhorting, teaching.
25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken;
26 ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter (like this) into his glory?
27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded [this] unto them in all the scriptures concerning himself.
4 Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying,
1 The burden of the word of the LORD against Israel by the hand of Malachi.
15 And have as saving health the patience of our Lord, even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him has written unto you
16 in almost all [his] epistles, speaking in them of these things, among which are some things [that] are hard to understand, which those that are ignorant and unstable twist, as [they do] also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
9 But ye are the chosen generation, [a] royal priesthood, [a] holy nation, [an] acquired people, that ye should show forth the virtues of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
5 Every word of God [is] pure: he [is] a shield unto those that put their trust in him.
6 Do not add unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
