4 Blessed [is the man whom] thou dost choose and cause to approach [unto thee] [that] he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house [even] of thy holy temple.

16 And Jacob awakened out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place, and I knew [it] not.

17 And he was afraid and said, How dreadful [is] this place! this [is] none other but the house of God, and this [is] the gate of heaven.

4 One [thing] have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the LORD and to enquire in his temple.

44 Our fathers had the tabernacle of the testimony in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen,

45 which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drove out before the face of our fathers unto the days of David,

46 who found grace before God and asked to provide a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.

47 But Solomon built him a house.

48 Howbeit the most High does not dwell in temples made with hands, as saith the prophet,

49 Heaven [is] my throne, and earth [is] my footstool; what house will ye build me? saith the Lord, or what [is] the place of my rest?

50 Has not my hand made all these things?

12 And Jesus went into the temple of God and cast out all those that sold and bought in the temple and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of those that sold doves

13 and said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called [the] house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven [is] my throne, and the earth [is] my footstool: where [shall remain] this house that ye built unto me? and where [shall remain] this place of my rest?

2 For all these [things] my hand has made, [by my hand] has these [things] been, said the LORD; but to this [man] will I look, [even to him that is] poor and of a contrite spirit and trembles at my word.

8 But I [am] like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the eternal mercy of God for ever.

13 And passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem

14 and found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers seated;

15 and when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers' money and overthrew the tables

16 and said unto those that sold the doves, Take these things away from here; do not make my Father's house a house of merchandise.

17 Then his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house has consumed me.

19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit [who is] in you, whom ye have of God, and that ye are not your own?

10 for a day in thy courts [is] better than a thousand [outside of them]. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

15 But if I tarry long, that thou may know how it is expedient to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and base of the truth.

1 A Song of degrees of David. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.

6 but Christ as [a] son over his own house, which house we are, if we hold fast the confidence and the glorious hope firmly until the end.

9 For the zeal of thy house has consumed me, and the reproaches of those that reproached thee are fallen upon me.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will rest in the house of the LORD for ever.:
