12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient; all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
26 There is [one] who covets greedily all day long, but the righteous gives and keeps on giving.
1 To the Overcomer: Maschil, for the sons of Korah. As the hart pants after the water brooks, so does my soul pant after thee, O God.
41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation; the spirit indeed [is] willing, but the flesh [is] weak.
8 Be temperate and vigilant because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour,
4 whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these ye might be made participants of the divine nature, having fled the corruption that is in the world through lust.
1 I made a covenant with my eyes; why then should I look upon a maid?
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
8 Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, we wait for thee; the desire of [our] soul [is] to thy name and to the remembrance of thee.
16 [This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
28 Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?
2 Ye covet and have not; ye murder, and have envy and cannot obtain; ye fight and war and have not that which ye desire because ye ask not.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil, which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
7 What shall we say then? [Is] the law sin? No, in no wise. But, I did not know sin except by the law; for [neither] would I have known lust if the law did not say, Thou shalt not covet.
4 Let Marriage [be] honourable in all and the bed undefiled; but the fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
16 For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
13 Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God; for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither does he tempt anyone:
5 Wilt thou set thine eyes upon riches which are not? For they shall certainly make themselves wings; they shall fly away as an eagle toward heaven.
13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only do not [use] liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by charity serve one another.
2 Nevertheless, [to avoid] fornication, let every [man] have his own wife, and let every [woman] have her own husband.
17 And the world passes away and the lust thereof, but he that does the will of God abides for ever.
1 Brethren, if anyone is overtaken in a fault, ye who are spiritual restore such a one in the spirit of meekness, considering thyself lest thou also be tempted.
13 No temptation has taken you but such as is common to man, but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].
5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil lust, and covetousness, which is idolatry;
21 for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
