Dia dos Pais

20 And he arose and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him and was moved with compassion and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and in thy sight and am no longer worthy to be called thy son.

22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe and put [it] on him and put a ring on his hand and shoes on [his] feet

23 and bring here the fatted calf and kill [it], and let us eat and be merry;

3 Behold, sons [are] a heritage of the LORD, [and] the fruit of the womb [is] to be desired.

4 As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so [are] the young men.

5 Happy [is] the man that has filled his quiver with them: he shall not be ashamed when he speaks with the enemies in the gate.:

24 He that cuts short chastening hates his son, but he that loves him chastens him early.

13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.

15 And if it seems evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that [were] on the other side of the river or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

24 The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice, and he that begets a wise [child] shall have joy with him.

7 The just [man] who walks in his integrity, blessed [shall be] his sons after him.

12 Honour thy father and thy mother that thy days may be lengthened upon the land which the LORD thy God gives thee.

26 In the fear of the LORD [is] strong confidence, and [there] his sons shall have hope.

6 Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.
