22 Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.:
9 knowing that the Christ, having been raised from the dead, dies no more; death has no more dominion over him.
8 So then, those that are carnal cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, because the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, that person is not of him.
8 Be temperate and vigilant because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour,
9 resist him steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are to be accomplished in the company of your brethren that are in the world.
13 [Mem] Thy kingdom [is] a kingdom of all ages, and thy dominion [endures] throughout all generations.
24 Know ye not that those who run in a race indeed all run, but one receives the prize? So run, that ye may obtain [it].
25 And every man that strives for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they [do it] to obtain a corruptible crown, but we, an incorruptible [one].
26 I therefore so run, not as unto an uncertain thing; so I fight, not as one that beats the air;
27 but I keep my body under, and bring [it] into subjection, lest preaching to others, I myself should become reprobate.:
20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
21 Who shall transform our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto the body of his glory, according to the working by which he is also able to subdue all things unto himself.:
7 For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of strength and of love and of temperance.
2 The signs and wonders that the high God has wrought with me are such that I must publish them.
3 How great [are] his signs! and how mighty [are] his wonders! His kingdom [is] an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion [is] from generation to generation.
13 I saw in the vision of the night, and, behold, in the clouds of heaven like a Son of man that came and drew near unto the Elder of great age, and they brought him near before him.
14 And he gave him dominion and glory and kingdom; and all the peoples, nations, and tongues served him: his dominion [is] an eternal dominion, which shall not pass away, and his Kingdom such that it shall never be corrupted.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is [this]: Charity, joy, peace, tolerance, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
7 But the end of all things is at hand; be ye, therefore, temperate and watch unto prayer.
19 In the multitude of words there [is] no lack [of] rebellion, but he that refrains his lips [is] wise.
11 The fool gives full rein to his spirit, but the wise [man] in the end will bring it into rest.
4 that every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honesty,
5 not with affection of lust, as the Gentiles who do not know God,
5 Ye also, giving all diligence to the same, show forth virtue in your faith; and in virtue, knowledge;
6 and in knowledge, temperance; and in temperance, patience; and in patience, fear of God;
7 and in fear of God, brotherly love; and in brotherly love, charity.
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government is [placed] upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called The Wonderful [One], The Counsellor, The God, The Mighty [One], The Eternal Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 The multitude of [his] dominion and the peace shall have no end upon the throne of David and upon his Kingdom, ordering it and confirming it in judgment and in righteousness from now on even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of the hosts will perform this.
28 The man whose spirit has no restraint [is like] a city [that is] broken down [and] without walls.:
2 Dominion and fear [are] with [God]; he makes peace in his high places.
13 who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated [us] into the kingdom of his dear Son,
14 in whom we have redemption through his blood, [even] the remission of sins,
9 But if they do not have [the gift of] continence, let them marry, for it is better to marry than to burn.
32 [He that is] slow to anger [is] better than the mighty, and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city.
20 which operated in the Christ, raising him from the dead and setting [him] at his own right hand in the heavenly [places],
21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come,
11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,
12 teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live temperately, righteously, and godly in this present world;
13 waiting for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ,
1 Since the Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, be ye also armed with the same thought; for he that has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,
2 so that now the time that remains in the flesh, he might live, not unto the lusts of men, but unto the will of God.
3 For it should suffice us that during the time past of [our] life we had done the will of the Gentiles, when we conversed in lasciviousness, lusts, drunkenness, gluttony, orgies, and abominable idolatries.
4 And it seems strange to those that speak evil of you, that ye do not run with [them] to the same unchecked dissolution;
5 the same shall give account to him that is ready to judge the living and the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in the Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward, those that are Christ's at his coming.
24 Then [comes] the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father, when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign until he has put all enemies under his feet.
13 No temptation has taken you but such as is common to man, but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].
