10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from thy presence and take not thy Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore unto me the joy of thy saving health, and [thy] spirit of liberty shall uphold me.
41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation; the spirit indeed [is] willing, but the flesh [is] weak.
6 Then he answered and spoke unto me, saying, This [is the] word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, said the LORD of the hosts.
16 that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man,
17 that the Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, that ye, being rooted and grounded in charity,
19 For I know that this shall become my saving health through your prayer and the nourishment of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage to be in fear [again], but ye have received the Spirit of adoption [of sons], whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 For the same Spirit bears witness unto our spirit that we are sons of God,
5 Thus hath the Lord GOD said unto these bones: Behold, I will cause spirit to enter into you, and ye shall live:
26 And likewise also the Spirit helps our weakness; for we know not how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit itself makes entreaty for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit [who is] in you, whom ye have of God, and that ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price, therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.:
17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him;
13 In this we know that we abide in him, and he in us, in that he has given us of his Spirit.
19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh and will give them a heart of flesh:
20 that they may walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and fulfil them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
16 For the same Spirit bears witness unto our spirit that we are sons of God,
6 before the silver chain is broken, and the golden bowl is broken, and the pitcher is broken at the fountain, and the wheel is broken at the cistern;
7 and the dust returns to the earth as it was [before] and the spirit returns unto God who gave it.
15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also; I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
14 For all that are led by the Spirit of God, the same are sons of God.
17 The sacrifices of God [are] a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
18 Therefore we all, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord with uncovered face, are transformed from glory to glory into the same likeness, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord.:
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.:
3 Blessed [are] the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens.
18 [Tzaddi] The LORD [is] near unto those that are of a broken heart and saves such as are of a contrite spirit.
11 For who among men knows the things of man, except the spirit of man which is in him? Even so no one has known the things of God, but the Spirit of God.
24 God is a Spirit and those that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.
12 For the word of God [is] alive and efficient and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary the one to the other, so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
10 But if Christ is in you, the body is truly dead because of sin, but the Spirit [is] alive because of righteousness.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is [this]: Charity, joy, peace, tolerance, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
23 Return at my reproof; behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall [your] heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those that ask him?
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 And the earth was without order, and empty; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
7 For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of strength and of love and of temperance.
7 For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of strength and of love and of temperance.
8 Certainly [there is] a spirit in man, and the inspiration of the Almighty gives them understanding.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
32 [He that is] slow to anger [is] better than the mighty, and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city.
11 not slothful in earnest care, [but] fervent in [the] Spirit, serving the Lord,
2 All the ways of a man [are] clean in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the spirits.
16 [This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage to be in fear [again], but ye have received the Spirit of adoption [of sons], whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
13 And believing, the God of hope fills you with all joy and peace that ye may abound in hope by the virtue of the Holy Spirit.
23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all. Amen.:
6 For the prudence of the flesh [is] death, but the prudence of the Spirit, life and peace,
18 Pride [goes] before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
19 It is better to humble [your] spirit with the lowly than to divide the spoil with the proud.
23 But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father seeks such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit and those that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.
3 Put not your trust in princes, [nor] in son of man in whom [there is] no salvation.
4 His spirit shall go forth, he shall return to his earth; in that very day all his thoughts shall perish.
1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon me because the LORD has anointed me; he has sent me to preach good tidings unto those who are cast down; to bind up [the wounds] of the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to [those that are] bound;
27 The spirit of man [is] the fire of the LORD, which searches the secrets of the inward parts.
